I have the chance to buy and early (L-reg') Ford Mondeo Estate...
I have always liked these as I remember them being launched when I was but a child!
I just wanted to know what you honestly think they are worth(ish) as I don't want to get shafted...
This is a 2-owenr car with sub 100k on the clock and it looks really nice indeed.
I know it'll never be an Escort Mexico nor a Capri S but given time will their 'throw-away' design make them a rare obscurity?!
All comments welcome, thanks a million in advance.

Mileage, history, MOT? Worth £300-500 I'd say.

Very rare and rapidly getting rarer, partly due to being a popular banger. Id say buy it, it will probably be a while before you see another. There was all sorts of stuff at Goodwood, but did i see a Mondeo? No, but Id like to.

Mileage, history, MOT? Worth £300-500 I'd say. It's a Burgundy Red metallic (not sure of the colour name) LX auto' with a sub 90k mileage on it. It sports a full history... It's as straight as a die and looks very clean and sharp. It's on an L-plate so I assume it's quite early?! I can just picture my Bic biro nestling in its tailor made holder...!!!

My second car was a K reg 2.0 GLX hatchack. After I scrapped it I barely saw another and that was 14 years ago!

There was all sorts of stuff at Goodwood, but did i see a Mondeo? No, but Id like to. were at least two in the campsite, my goldish mk2 v6 ghia x estate and someone in the kfw encampment had a maroon mk2 tdi hatch. on arrival one person appeared to be taking the pi$$ out of it/me but i also had a couple of people pop over to have a chat. i see mine as a camping tat hauler rather than a cherished classic but i have been smoking around in various mondeos for some considerable time. mk1/2 mondeos are very accomplished and practical vehicles. mk1's are never gonna be cheaper than now and racers have almost finished them off. mk2's are heading for extinction as well. tldr : get it bought if its not stupidly expensive
