SOLD!
This is my beloved 1990 Mazda Eunos Roadster (MX-5) import.
It's mechanically very sound and it's been sensibly modified. I bought it from a chap who used it for hillclimbs, but it's very usable and enormous fun on the road. It's also cheap to insure on a classic policy.
The Larini exhaust sounds fantastic without being obnoxious and it's currently wearing Toyo R888 tyres which offer ludicrous amounts of grip once warm.
I have stacks of history for this car going back to the early 2000s. When I bought it, I went through every receipt and compiled a list of work carried out and parts fitted over the years, I'm happy to share this with prospective buyers.
The previous owner fitted a good quality mohair hood which is in fantastic shape, and according to the history it has an LSD too.
It's currently showing 125,559 miles on the odometer which may go up slightly. The previous owner reckoned some of that might have been KM (the clocks have been recalibrated to miles at some point) but I can't say for sure.
The MOT is valid until April 25 2019.
Last June at 125,200 miles it had the following:
New cam belt kit including tensioners, water pump, front crankshaft seal, front camshaft seals, aux belts, thermostat, spark plugs, coolant, oil (Gulf Formula G 5W-40) and filter
Mods are as follows:
Toad Laserkey immobiliser
Gaz Gold adjustable coilovers
Polybushes
Jackson Racing 4-2-1 manifold
Stainless steel de-cat (straight through)
Larini stainless steel centre section, back box and resonator
IL Motorsport front and rear under bracing, plus aluminium front strut brace
Safety Devices twin hoop roll bar
Cobra Clubman bucket seats with 4 point harnesses (original belts still fitted and working)
Momo steering wheel
EBC grooved discs
Goodridge stainless brake hoses
Pipercross Viper induction kit
