Hey all,
I've just been reading a rather sad article where the ASA has asked BMW to:
"avoid showing off its cars' handling characteristics "in the context of excitement" in the future"
Now I understand they want people to drive safely etc rather than show off the limits of grip and maximum acceleration but I think that's actually what I want to see and one of the things I think about when buying cars, I think it's a shame that car adverts can't be that exciting any more. I found Audi's advert where it shows the R8 on the dyno which I saw in the cinema a year or two ago a rather clever way of getting around the ASA.
Speaking about adverts, what's your favourite advert that shows what the cars were actually like and used for? This one's pretty accurate.
