Have a wander round the local area and see if you can spot a car with matching damage. When somebody hit my Jeep when it was parked I took different routes walking the dog and 1 month later spotted a Punto (knew it was a green Punto from debris left behind) tucked at the back of a drive under a sheet. Left a note on it (with a bit of a white lie saying I had CCTV of accident) and owner got in touch then I went through insurance and got paid out.

Also check in with local scrapyards, to do that sort of damage to a Lexus will have absolutely wrecked anything modern.

Idiots. Stuff like that makes my blood boil. We all make mistakes, but own up to it. I clipped a Mini with my work Transit a month or two back, but left a note and my phone number to sort it out.

To me, that looks like it's got young inexperienced jerk or drink driver (or both) written all over it. What a damn shame. Hopefully you'll get a decent amount for parts. This sort of thing really boils my wee-wee.

Sorry to see the damage done to the ls mate, thought of my car being wiped out while I'm not there goes through me (half the reason I wanted a house with a drive). I don't want to be the first vulture but I know someone has to be...
When you've got over shock of it fire me a message what you want complete for it (I know it's worth more broken but don't want to start picking over the bones of it when it's only just happened).. cheers

Said goodbye tonight to the Lexus after nearly 3 years of fantastic motoring, thankfully to someone who will not be breaking her but repairing the damage and then enjoying it! Would I recommend owing a LS400/430? Absolutely as in my opinion even though they are getting on in years, still a class leading drive.

People always go on about how good the bmw e39 is, drive a Lexus from the same era, just as good. Loved my gs300. Shame about your barge.
