i discovered this in an open fronted barn about 3 years ago......then one day the farm came up for sale........i spent ages tracking down the owner of the bug, he's the nephew of the old lady from the farm, who'd sadly died........
anyways, negotiations broke down and it sat outside his house up until last week........when i couldn't see it just sitting there any longer......and we came to the conclusion it was destined to be mine..........
he said he was happy it was going to a good home......and offered it to me...........free!
here she is coming 'home'
i've knocked for tens of cars, but they rarely come off..........but NEVER give up
Top work. Now, the irony is that while i thought this would bring up some great pics, the ones i have to offer are crap. These are the ones off my pc, my mobile isn't playing ball right now so i'll get the others later. Anyway, here's some of mine....
Nissan Sunny estate, owned by us from new, handed down to me when i was 18. Been a sturdy tent, van and taxi for me. I got a new car, spent 700 on this one and gave it back to my mum. She left it to rot on the drive. Now in the scrapyard in the sky sadly.
Neighbours X-19. "I fancy a project says he" one month later "What was i thinking" ;D
Honda Concerto. Old boy gave up driving, then died. Council bloke sees me, asks if i want it. Okay, says i. Jumped, started, drove home, MOT'd, sold. Still lives on.
BMW 525i....see X-19 text!
Celica. Spotted, bought for £100, shouted at by Mrs, sold for £180!
BMW 518i, bought, loved, died, abandoned. It;s dead now with any luck.
My old Capri MKII, worryingly NOT abandoned.
Escort, not entirely sure how i came across this picture...
Left in a U.S breakers yard apparently....
Daimler, the banger track would have been better thanthis fate..
Sunmbeam Alpine, same place as above, shame. Owner won;t part.
MKII Cortina Auto. In a van sales place near me, until it, and the business vanished.
MKIII Cortina 1600GXL donor car, owned by a mate...
...and again!!! I keep threatening to buy this one.
Another one of my exes, sorry it's a picture of a picture.
been sat like this since 1987 according to the dvla. the exhaust was hanging off a few years back, now its not got an exhaust - just a pile of rust. rotten as hell. even the cover on it has rotted off. wreck-a-saurus-rex!!
Now, before I show you this beastie, I've got first dibs on it if the owner wants rid, mmmmmkay? And I'm not saying where it is either!
Datsun 240K Skyline. I believe these were fitted with an L20 and an auto (Will Datman will correct me I'm sure, I'm not a J Tin guru).
Last taxed in '99, is an Auto, has a good interior. Basically, I want. How common are these?
