Please post a link to the new thread here when you get the new car. Sadly the new car might be a bit new for Retro-Rides LOL. Picking up an 06 BMW 335i Touring. And no, i'm done with SD1s for now. I've owned the ultimate SD1 for me (black vitesse), so the only other option would be a fully custom track car based on an SD1, but thats a pipe dream.

Pity - BMWs of any vintage or model hold no interest for me. I have enjoyed your adventure with these SD1s immensely. Good luck in the future!

Ill tell you what, it may be less interesting than a Vitesse, but damn its better in every way. So much power, comfort, handling and practicality. I've been taking it to work a lot recently, something i never did with Tess as it just wasnt worth the effort. 380+ HP in a wagon, with heated leather seats and cruise control? its great.

Sorry to see your SD1 tenure come to an end. But life is short and theres lots of cars out there.
I have followed your posts here&on tastes like petrol, and applied many of the how to guides to my own SD1. I even got in touch with Gareth at SD1 travelled spares to get the door handle gaiters on your suggestion, so my USA located, british built, ex-australian SD1 now has NZ parts in it.
Many thanks for the detailed approach you take to photographing and documenting every step. It is much appreciated.

Enjoyed reading your antics with Tess mate!I know exactly what you mean about "not feeling it" with a car so moving her on was the right thing to do.
