Got it - something else that attracts workshop dust and that you fall over in about a months time - then blame everybody else for puting it there in the first place Not far wrong π Its a pretty mundane thing, but it should see me spending more time in the garage....

Bracket screwed to the wall Heater set up and ready to go. Drilled a 28mm hole through the wall for the exhaust. Was a Christmas present from Mrs Bravo. A Chinese knock off of an Eberspacher diesel heater as used in sleeper cabs and camper vans. Really chucks out the heat. Works with a heat exchanger so doesn't fill the garage with water vapour. Exceptionally good value for money at about Β£135 and costs about 1/3 of what electricity does to heat the garage. Johnny Bravo is happy and content in a warm garage.....π

Interesting - how bigβs the garage and how many kw is the heater? I might swap my condensation forming gas fired space heater for one of these.

One step ahead of you there Chrisπ Have the radiator already but need to change a couple of things outside the garage before I can reroute the exhaust how I want it. Little Tig project for Little big Bravo with the heat exchanger.....

I thought it was warmer outside today, Now I know, why, you must be heating my road too, Yep. So thoughtful of me π Just got the new third gear set for the Panther back from the gearcutters. Had the dehumidifier running since yesterday. Wacked the heat right up as I wanted to spray the gears and shafts with storage wax / rust preventative until I need them. π

But isn't it good when great minds think alike (says GN has he trips up over the alloy frame thing that's gathering dust in the workshop)

Am very interested in one of those heaters, do you have a link you can post & any idea of how hot the flue getts? I ask as my garage is timber frame construction with celotex insulated walls clad with cementatious panels external and ply/ plasterboard internally.

That's what happens if you give your old toys to the MOD to play with...they shoot ten shades of Shyte out of it ππ

You can get fittings designed to go through boat cabins that are double insulated for want of a better description. Have a look on EBay, type in Planar Heater.

banggood same heater: www.banggood.com/12V-5KW-Diesel-Air-Heater-4-Holes-All-In-1-LCD-Thermostat-for-Trailer-Truck-Car-p-1368620.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CNI looked at those heaters recently after doubleboost on youtube reviewed one for his machine shop. One thing to note though, I'd treat their power / fuel figures with a large pinch of salt. They claim that it uses at max 0.24 litre of fuel per hour, and given that diesel has an energy density of around 38MJ per litre, or about 10.5 kW per litre, I make it only 2.5 kW per 0.24 litre of fuel. Unless they are doing some magic to get twice the energy out of the fuel than it contains it's either only 2500w, or it uses 0.5 litres of fuel per hour
