I thought I would post this as I had never heard of a Piper up until three/four months ago. Whilst talking with the woman in the accounts at work (we have a small close knit team) about cars (she also has a brother who builds, restores and rallies old motors, amongst restoring other cool stuff) she mentioned her uncle had just restored a Piper and had some dealings with them in the past, so much so that she has actually called her daughter Piper. So when I found this today I fired it across to her in an email and she replied with "thats my uncle I was telling you about"
What a small world we live in, anyway enjoy.

RetroWarwicK and I know of a long time owner down these parts. That white car according to the Piper circles is pretty significant if it is the one I think it is.

I thought they all had X-flows in them - looks like that one has a Pinto - I bought some old wheels and engine parts from a guy in London a good few years ago and one part was a Screamer crossflow -711, flat top pistons, big valve heads etc. and a special two part valve cover where the lower part of the cover was cast to support the rockers, shaft and solid spacers - the top was just a machined flat cover with PIPER cast into it. Interesting cars.
