The Weekend:
Slip&Grip’s Spring Touge weekend consists of a mix of drift, track and rally cars tackling a 2.2 tight tarmac stage with a trackday style format, with one or two cars released at a time. This format should allow for a fun relaxed atmosphere for people to enjoy their cars in the safety of a private environment. You will all be pleased to know there are no sound limits! There will be 40 cars per day maximum to give everyone plenty of stage time.
People who are driving on the Saturday or the whole weekend will be able to arrive on the Friday evening and those driving Sunday will be able to arrive on Saturday afternoon. Camping is free for this event. The address is Dolebolion, Pontrhdfendigaid, Ystrad Meurig, Ceredigion SY25 6BJ. You can either buy drivers slots for one or both days. The cost will be £80 per driver, per day. Cars are only allowed 1 extra driver or driver +1 passenger. Passenger sign on will be £5 if they want to go up the stage and there is no public admittance to this event. If you are not a driver or a +1 you must be media to attend. No pets or children under 16 are allowed.
Camping is free and a Burger Van will be on offer for breakfast, lunch and in the evenings too. the stage will open early both days. We run a queue open pitlane format with cars released as single or pairs every 40 seconds. This event is un-timed, Marshals will be on stage with flags and first aid kits will be on site too.
There are 2 Portaloo's onsite, located near the parking paddock.
We highly recommend if you are running a track or drift car that you raise and soften your suspension slightly for this stage as being in the mountains its very up and down as well as a variation of tarmac conditions.
Please be aware before you book your place, that this is a 2.2 tarmac rally stage, although there are some tyre walls and barriers there is very little run off and you must prepare for the possibility of your car taking some damage during the day. If you do not want your car to get damaged or you think its to clean for this event please do not enter. The road conditions are similar to welsh back roads liking to that of Elan valley area so please don’t expect race track condition tarmac.
If you change your mind and decide that you would no longer like to participate, please DO NOT sell your slot privately, it must go through Ross directly.
