Occasionally I do a hunt for stuff at a certain price point, and make a thread out of that. Or if individual interestingness comes up I'll stick them in the Ebay section. It has been a little while since I did either (a touch distracted recently). So I thought I'd share this little lot here as a way to clean down my back log of stuff. The least spendy and probably the most awesome, VW Bonito kit car : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142470129785The sale (annoyingly) includes this picture of what could be! 5 litre V8 in a Morris eight .. yup please : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142486735480There is a bit of me that would love someone to un-rat that. All polished paint, with tuck n roll leather interior. Top price point here at 75k : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272796339551Lots of fun, and not so massively over powered that it is unusable. Now I wanted to un-rat the Morris, but this ... this needs preservation : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112536764527Okay seeing as we're here let's do a couple more slightly sensible ones Be a great RR car, standard or modified www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112522536207Had a couple of Clio's in the show field at The Gathering with the Turbo Renault guys, this one has a 5 GT Turbo conversion so must go quite well www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192269269328And lastly on the sensible side of things, this spaceship is for sale, and it is 7 shades of awesome : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252789872697phew ... that has now cleared down my ebay bookmarks

When I was about 16 I had a summerjob at the Dutch importer for Ft Bonito's
I learned a bit about working with fiberglass, so that was great.
Never cared that much for the Ft Bonito's though.
To me, they were trying to be a GT40 replica, without really pulling it off.
But that gray one has had its nose cleaned up quite a bit by removing the GT40 esque vents and lower lights.
I haven't seen that done before on a Ft Bonito, but I think it makes it look a lot nicer.
I'd shave off the side vents too, and then it would be a really nice coupe with clean simple lines...

Nothing wrong with Freddie's merc, stick on some patches, drop it down to earth and away you go. The thought of owning that Citroen makes me shudder. We used to have a 6 wheeled one come into work, was the strangest thing...

If that Citroen was closer to me I'd be all over that! You're in luck! It's a car, and can thus be driven back to where you are.

I've spent far too much of my life travelling hundreds of miles to look at "mint" piles of curse word* to bother ever doing it again. If a cars not in a GU postcode I'm not interested *not suggesting this particular car is anything other than as described

^what he said.
Posts dripping in condescension aren't really required. We've not all got hours and money to lose, or mates with garages ready and willing to sort things out. I can only consider cars that are offered locally, it doesn't make me any less of an enthusiast.

Wow. Sorry, I didn't see the checklist of what's 'required'. I'll go away again...

Glad you got my back though Bro 👍🏻

Annoying that it states porsche engine in the title of the bonito, and then transpires to be a vw type 4. They may have used a variant of a type 4 lump in the porsche...but this one isnt it.

looks like i'm passing on the CX, just seen results from an April auction where 2 went for seriously low money, similar spec/condition, 1 @ £275 + premium and other @ £300 + premium IF i get the chance in the future it will be at the lower end and then i know i may have to spend a chunk rather than a decent looking one at first glance full of hidden horrors.

Said Citroen CX has been for sale with that dealer for several months now and reduced in price at least twice - those two facts probably dictate it's actual condition in the flesh

That is just... hmmm, I seem to be conflicted between 'wrong' and 'awesome' Wish there was a build thread for this

It's either genius or madness.
Personally I'm leaning toward it being genius, it's an Allegro interesting enough to look at, and a styling improvement over the Beetle.

Best thing to happen to an allegro. I'd only spend that sort of dough on it if it had tilt front seats... wait...
