If you're looking at this you know how rare Peugeot 305 vans are - commercial vehicles like these were bought and worked to death.
It belonged to Alda Motors of Huntingdon for many years and hasn't gone far. It reappeared in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire and then in print for both Retro Cars and Practical Classics as a feature vehicle.
This van has been a faithful servant but is now in need of extensive welding.
THE GOOD:
A running, driving van.
Healthy N/A 1905 cc XUD (diesel) engine. Runs a Bosch pump if you feel the need to deprive your local chippy of cooking oil late at night.
V5 in my name.
Fitted tow bar.
Working beacon.
Original owners' manual and almost complete set of old MoTs (if that's your bag).
THE BAD:
It's rusty (inner and outer sill rear ends [CILLS] at a bare minimum) and will need a lot of welding to see the road again. Viewing advised. Returns not accepted.
No MoT. SORN in place since 2015.
THE SALE:
The van is located near Peterborough. I suggest you bring a trailer to take it away.
Bring a battery with you; the one pictured won't hold a charge.
Cash on collection
preferred.
I am flexible on collection times if the balance is paid in full. Keep me updated (with 24 hours' notice) and I'll fit around your collection plans.
No swaps or deals. The van is a project and is advertised as such.
The top image is how it looks now on old 206 steels.
The wooden knob has since been taken off.
1905cc XUD (N/A) with Bosch fuel pump.
Mercedes parts not included - but a set of standard 305 steels and door cards are! See below.
