	I wanted to do this thread much earlier but work and home project have got in the way – we’ve also had a few drop outs and replacements (probably due to the earlier booking process) However seeing as at this very moment we have a full house of 120 cars and I have an evening free (what’s left of it) I'm kicking it off now - Sorry it's taken me so long GavinJ This will also provide the basis of information for Paul Venners (who is "on the mic" on the day) It's also a handy thread for spectators to show a little insider knowledge to their mates on the day when the cars run up the hill So lets kick it off with a few forum members first ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Brown - Mark - 1990 BMW M3 Mods - Track prep' inc race seats, harness etc His thread on that car and a 2002 here ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Clarke - ajc91 - 1987 Ford Escort MKIII Estate Mods - 2.0 black top Zetec swap, ib5 5speed, 4 branch, full stainless, lowering springs, Impreza seats, Peugeot steelies, 90 spec His thread on the car here ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Merrick - dfms911 - 1972 Ford Escort MKII Mods – N/A YB Cosworth powered, Straight cut g/box, Alloy Tarmac Arches, 8j x 13's front, 9j rear, disc braked Atlas axle with 5.1 LTD, Bias brake set up and Hydraulic handbrake, caged etc, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ade Brannan - AB car pix - ~~1980 Ford Granada 2.8 Auto~~ Ford Sierra Mods - Dutch Import - wheels and lows ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin Lloyd - lloydyr32 - 1983 Ford Sierra Mods – looks like a cosworth, sounds like a cosworth and goes like a cosworth... But with a Volvo engine it shouldn't go bang like a cosworth. Chipped B230 with IPD go-faster bits, M90 gearbox w/ Sachs racing clutch. 220hp at the moment, looking to get 350hp before August. It also has -60mm lowered suspension, 17" TSW alloys, Calibre front bumper, twin headlights and Digi dash ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Gray – 1999 TVR Chimera (under the late registered pre 1992 Model exception) Mods - Chimaera 400 Supercharged with 375ish BHP ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Hill - 1989 Ford Mustang Fox Body 5.0 V8 Mods - Std and unmodified brought it back with me when I returned from the US This is a substitute car for the original entry which couldn’t be completed in time ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Cribb - 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Last year we could do funerals (see “what’s going up the Hill 2016” thread) – this year it’s weddings – just part of the diversity (not them) that this show offers – James has offered to chauffeur couples who want to be married at the top of the oldest motorsports venue in the UK to the top of the hill – Downside is that only one passenger at a time – so if anyone actually doesn’t want to tie the knot I recommend going second and making your escape ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alexander Charles Bernhardt de Vries - greencarfritz – 1987 Citroen 2CV “Bambo” Mods - Citroen 2cv6 ‘Bamboo’ – powered by a BMW R1100 motorcycle engine, An MSA Sports Libre spec. hillclimb & sprint car. 	Hello Ian. I think i cured the oil leak on the TR8. Was the sump gasket. I thought the good people at Shelsley would prefer me not to be losing oil on the hill. Was a mere drip. Honest! Have gone to superunleaded and more ignition advance. And the center box with no fiberglass in it! Cheers Phil

	Having just drooled over everything in this thread, I am more gutted than ever that I didn't make it last Sunday. Unfortunately, after spanking my old E30 around Brands Hatch all day Saturday, my right front wheel decided it wanted to be free and live a life of its own. Unfortunately, in its bid for freedom, it took out the front of a new 4 series and left me ''tipping on 3'' but without the benefit of hydraulics. Anyway, hope you all had a great time and am looking forward to catching up in 2018!
