I finally got round to working on the Land Rover at the weekend to start the brake inspection (it's been sat for 3 years), and found just one leaky cylinder. In order to remove it I have to sacrifice the steel brake pipe from the split (T piece) on top of axle to the cylinder. I obviously need to replace with a new pipe but I don't have any of the tools or materials to make a new one - apparently you can no longer buy replacement sections of pipe, just a complete kit. This is an option, but ideally I just need to have a section made up matching the one I had to sacrifice. So, does anyone in the Somerset area know of a place that would make this section up, or does anyone local to me have the tools & materials I could borrow / purchase? The section is about 16-18 inches long with multiple bends which follow the axle, under the chassis, attach to a hanger plate then connects to the cylinder. Both ends are flared with male connectors. I can take a picture if needed.
Oh, and this is my first thread (in about 7 years).
