The owner rebuilt it then got into another rebuild
I got it for £500!!

Yeah, the photo you posted, it looks in fantastic condition.
That explains why the Chassis looks so good, When I looked round it, I was impressed
with the condition of the chassis and suspension,
you can see that someone has done some good spanner work at some point.
I'd been looking for a while missed out on a few cars, really pleased with it.
I think I will take it apart before putting back together. Have a good look at everything.

The previous owner to me lives two miles from me and he’s still rebuilding British sports cars in his retirement

The last time I drove that car I was following a mate in his cosworth powered mk1 Granada on the m25 had a great blast on that day
Then sold it that week , I regret it!

All my old 'wishIdidntsell' cars disappeared - gdl399n black 2002 - slr544l mini clubman estate - b700ork bjork the mr2 - all great cars ....
I would be really chuffed if any of my oldies reappeared. One is still around doing welsh hillclimb sprints, bkp88t datsun 120a FII. Always regret not trying to buy it's sister car, bkp89t nissan sunny ....
I would be happy to see any in whatever condition, but my current red saab G151AEV is staying with me until I can't drive it anymore!

 I made a start....this was back in the first lock down. Body off.  I completely stripped the chassis, welded up the usual Scimitar problem areas...which weren't too bad. Once all welded I had it Galvanised. That caused me a few more issues, on loading it for its return journey they bent part of it with a fork truck....back to the welder I went, all sorted now.  Had a quick look at the axle, replaced all the seals. I had quite a lot of powder coating done, and have been bolting it all back together. I now have a rolling chassis...below.  Hopefully reunite the body to the chassis fairly soon, when the weather sorts it self out. I'm into the engine now, sorting that out trying to give it a few more pony's. Its still not looking as good as when you owned it but its definitely going in the right direction. |

After a long time of no progress on the Scimitar, I’m back to it After stripping the Engine, it was found to have suffered frost damage, and the block had a crack 😳 Took me a little while to find one at a reasonable price, but I got one…just not a very pretty one 😂  After a little work the Engine started to take shape…     |

Miss this car she was a great car, I still can’t believe it ended up stripped down by the previous owner to you

Reunited the Body & chassis...at last... Not spent as much time as I'd have liked lately on the car, but pleased to make some significant progress today. Body work next, something I've not done too much of...   A little precarious at this moment....no sudden movements 🤣  Carefully does it!!    All my work so far covered up 😳🤣 |
