Hi Guys What cars had the Girling 16 range of brake calipers fitted? I mean 16, 16p, 16pb and metric versions. And are they all the same mount and disc thickness spacing.
Thanks Adrian

Triumph TR3 - 6, GT6 and Vitesse 2L.
16P up to about 1969 16PB 1969 - 1973 approx. M16 thereafter.
Also used on Rover P6 plus various Escorts, Cortinas, Capris & Granadas.
I think the Ford ones have a different mounting hole spacing from the Triumph ones but not tested side by side. I think late Capris and Granadas used a wider version with vented discs.

I do know the cortina and capri ones have the same mounting hole spacing as a TR7, it's what I have on mine, the vented discs on capri use the same caliper with a spacer block between the two halves, you can still easily get the conversion kits.

I can only speak to the ford fitment of the M16 caliper, there are 4 versions M16 solid disc = cortina, capri, escort*, granada (Mk1/2) m16 Vented = capri 2.8i M16B solid P100 and some diesel granadas (Mk1/2) M16B vented granada 2.8i
The B caliper used bigger pads *some escorts used the M/P 14 caliper

Vauxhall HP (Droopsnoot) Firenza used the P16 caliper, and I believe that means the 3.3 FD Ventora did as well.
From what I have read, the mounting holes vary slightly in diameter between the M16 and P16 versions. I also understand that there is a variant of the P16 that takes a metric brake line fitting, as that's what I've just fitted.

M16 have metric bolt holes and metric threads for the fluid lines. You can get around the metric holes (assuming your car isn't metric anyway) using the shouldered bolts sold for late TR6 and GT6.
Both the imperial PB and metric M16 are available new for about £120/pair.
