Nice of the news article to give the owners address. Now if the cars are recovered, everyone knows where to steal them from

I cant believe that many of these are never recovered . I know the police have a lot on there hands but the amount of these type of thefts which must be on CCTV from somewhere , or do they just give a crime number out and not bother ?

The police don't seem rsed about vehicle crime, a lovely woman with a vehicle which was neither taxed or insured damaged my car and they didn't give a flying fork, all I got was they will distribute the numberplate with local units id done all the hard work for them, what about going around her house and stamping on her toys arresting her and taking the p.o.s she is driving around illegally

Cars don't get noticed, but as soon as the garage gets some work done on it, the car's are stolen. I'd be weary of the builders then, as they'd have access to the house/keys.

if they were found via a tracker thats one thing, but to be able to find the keys, then steal them. thats quite something else. No point trying to second guess how they did it, but it does beg the question.

Wife traded wing mirrors with a little madam in a nearby village. Clear to see that there were no cars parked on my wife's side, and that little madam was in the wrong. Not that that really matters as driving on small overcrowded streets, you have to accept that wing mirrors can be classified as disposable. Both stopped. Madam got out effing and blinding and having a good rant. Really lovely and charming as there was a young German exchange student with my son in the car. Anyway, wife was a bit shaken. I said report it to the police stating you want it on record as normal people don't react like that, and that you are not claiming anything, just covering your r's. End result was they took registered owner to court. £600 fine ,6 points on her licence, and court costs, for failing to divulge who was driving. We are pretty sure it was the disqualified daughter....

That's terrible, to lose one is bad but 3! I would guess that they won't be recovered sadly like the white press one that went near me such a shame you can't own a nice classic without fear of it getting pinched
