It must only be me but I get mega excited when I see decent replica's of cars that were imortalised in TV & Film when I was young. The ultimate for me has to be.. Followed by and and finally, the only one I am likely to be able to afford in a year or two.. If it IS just me, I can live with that lol.

When I was a teenager I had a paper round, as did many people of my age. This being the early '90's, the mythical car I saw was at most about 7 or 8 years old at the time, so not retro at the time but iconically retro now. At the same rather large and posh house as a Healey 3000 (which always caught my eye as my dad has owned his Frogeye since 1968) one morning was a Metro 6R4, with trade plates if I remember correctly, in that strange not-quite-gloss-but-not-satin-either white paint that they were supplied in. Just sat on the drive. Massive great dane dog there too, but the Metro was special, especially as the last time I'd seen one was in 1985 on the RAC Rally when I'd wagged a day off school with my dad and gone out to Wales. Strangely, a year or more later, I saw a Peugeot 205 in a similar white going past the end of my street, down the same road towards that house, and there was something about it that didn't seem quite normal. To this day I'm convinced it was a T16, but I'll never really know.
