As a callow youth I lusted after many, many things – not all of which were out of reach but the one unfulfilled itch that I thought I could actually, 30 years later, do something about was the 205.
Sadly, though I was too late as prices for the ‘good’ ones started to climb long ago but I kept clicking on the eBay search shortcut and was rewarded last week by a very reasonably priced n/a 1.8 diesel 3dr on 13” steels just down the road from me.
It’s (mostly) complete, a runner and an MOT history check reveals no hint of the dreaded ‘C’ word, although it also revealed no hint of a current ticket either….
I promise to do a thread, promise it will be replete with photos but just for now can I ask a question as being at work all of the Peugeot specific forums are blocked by the net nanny and although thankfully I can read the text on RR I can’t see any pictures …. Anyway the question – I want to swap the 1.8 non-turbo for a 1.9 turbo with the Bosch pump etc. etc. but if £250ish gets me a complete running early 306td what else can I swap over with a minimum of fuss that would be considered an upgrade ?
