So, I bought a campervan yesterday, based on a C15 diesel. It was pretty cheap, and is a little rough around the edges but does seem to be generally good.
The seller did tell us that the pneumatic system for the lifting roof didn't work, but I had assumed that the roof was manual anyway and so thought this might be an aftermarket system that had been added just to make lifting easier.
It turns out that this roof is too heavy for my wife and I to lift, so will need to get this system repaired.
There's a knob to pull to switch the compressor on, there's a gauge near the back door, and a switch to lift or lower the roof. Apparently, it's the pump that's given up the ghost.
Would this be something that a general motorhome dealer could do (we have one not too far away), would I need a specialist for this particular brand (Romahome) or would a general pneumatics/hydraulics firm be able to fix it?
