Indicators should always be on the side opposite to the gearlever, simples (Especially if you like to drive with your hand on the gearlever a lot of the time like me)

^ WHS I notice it more in a fast car. If I spot a chance to overtake something moving slowly I take one hand off the wheel to drop a gear - so I can't indicate if the indicators are on the same side as the gearstick

Speaking of marinas like the incorrectly angled dash a couple of pages ago, it really bothered me when I owned one having the wipers on the wrong side. They wiped up from the drivers side and stopped on passengers side , leaving a big curved un -wiped area in front of the driver.

Another detail that drives me bonkers is the use of high gloss black plastics in modern cars. Scratches so easily and never looks nice.
Touch screen climate control can get out too, buttons are ok but dials and sliders are so much quicker to change without looking.

You know what, I had to go check photos of my old e39, but yes the wipers were backwards on that too. Guess it was a better design or something as I don’t remember it like I do the marina.
Speaking of wipers, not having a rear wiper bothers me now. Hate having rear glass I can’t see through. I must be getting old.

Together with the wipers, it wouldn't surprise me if they geared up massively for European exports on a car that never sold well outside Commonwealth countries

RHD Peugeot 206 - the wipers go the wrong way too, however they have a massive linkage on the drivers wiper to help it (sort of) follow the edge of the screen! I'm sure it would have been cheaper and less hassle just to design a RHD scuttle and linkage!!

It would have been, were it not for the massive interior blower intake/pollen filter housing on the bulkhead But I don't mind which way the wipers work, but i despise the courtesy wipe most newer cars do after the wash/wipe has been used

Rover SD1s had the handbrake lever over to the left of the centre console next to the passenger seat perfectly suited for LHD, a bit less so for RHD

I realise the thing that annoys me the most is the soft thing between seat and steering wheel in other cars.

Awkward to operate fuel filler caps. Had one on a 1999 Fiat Seicento Sporting that drove me nuts.
Also, wheel trims that make it very difficult to remove the valve dust caps, or even get an airline on to inflate the tyres.

That would have to include incorrectly fitted wheel trims, especially when held on by wheel-nuts!

BMW E39 has a similar set-up as described above for the Pug 206 - a kind of double linkage to make the wiper reach further into the corner.
