We have this problem a lot where I live, rather close to Sellafield.
Our village is one of the rat runs that people come flying down in order to avoid the traffic on the main road to the site entrances. Generally they think they're more important than the local residents and believe they have right of way, a d if you're fool enough to let one through then woe betide you as another 30 will follow without thought to let anyone else through the other way.
Some of us have taken to not backing down to them, and sitting back and waiting for them to realise they're not going to win. A few months ago my Mrs did this on her way back from getting the kids from school, refusing to reverse 100 yards when a Sellafield van could have moved back 3 feet and let her through, and ended up with 5 men at her window shouting and swearing telling her to move.
She did however stand her ground and after 20 minutes they backed up and let her through, with a line of at least 70 cars backed up through the village because of it.
Another neighbour came up against similar with her disabled son in the car. After 5 minutes waiting she gave up, got the young lad out of the car, locked it up and walked back home.
One of the bastards was kind enough as to run over my cat whilst speeding through the village as though the extra 30 seconds he might have gained would make a difference to his life.
They'll learn. Eventually.

If they can't coordinate clutch, throttle, and handbrake to do a proper hill start they really ought not to be driving. Manufacturers have spotted this gap in the market so instead of learning to drive properly you can now have hill start control, park assist etc. If you're bad enough to need them you shouldnt be driving in the first place (those with disabilities excepted, natch)

Back then it was a gimmick that never really caught on.

People who can't be arsed to say thank you, even when I've just reverses half a mile down a country lane to a passing place even though you were closer to one, even a small nod to acknowledge would be nice. And while we are on the subject, you've just seen a transit van go through a gap between cars, why do you think your Micra is a foot wider ARGH Again, don't come here then! No-one, but no-one gives way. They'd rather sit and stare at each other until one starves to death, and if someone should stop early to let someone through (like me, who actually has a destination in mind) there will never be any acknowledgement or sign of thanks. Oh, and the drivers behind will hate you as well. Which brings us nicely to your second point. All cars are as wide as QMII and need space accordingly. Thus, when you come to a narrow part of the road - normally caused by double, even treble parking - you must go for the dead centre of the gap, ignoring the fact that two cars could pass easily if you stayed over a bit. You'd like to, but your Toyota Vios is just toooo wiiiiide.

Land Rover evoques have a little square bit at the top of the arch trims that make it look like they haven't been fitted properly, it's like the square bit should fit in a slot inside the wheelarch as it doesn't relate to anything else, what's the point of it?

I'm not going to hold back on this one and it'll ruffle a few feathers! But... I HATE slot mags. They are a truly awful looking wheel that looks curse word on any vehicle. That's it I've said it and got it off my chest and now I'm going into hiding lol.

On another Evoque related note, I hate the way the top spec models have two shark fins on the roof. It looks chavtastic as best, scrappy and messy at worst. Surely its not beyond the wit of the JLR engineers to mount all their antenna needs inside one housing? Actually it probably is, considering they can't even bolt the cars together properly in the first place.

Now that we're onto other people's bad habits......
When people slow down to walking pace to turn left into side roads, swing out into the middle of the road they are turning off, but still end up completely on the wrong side of the road they are turning into.

The guy who drives past my house every night in an old Chevy Suburban.
Every time it hits a bump or hole (of which we have a few!) the rear suspension goes, "ooh".
Just sort it out!

Wouldn't be saying this on a Mini or MG forum, might get away with it here though if you say it quietly enough.
Personally don't hate them, just overdone.

The handles to move the seats forwards to allow passengers in on a 106. Why put them at the bottom? I don't know if all the 106s have this, but my one does. A friend some time ago had some baggy trou on and thus, caught the handle on the way out pulling it clean off. Lovely.
