I like the blue design and the Harlequin one reminds me of a Benneton inspired paint job I saw on a Vespa years a go.
I'm a scooterist myself and used to spend hours drawing my dream machines 👍🏻

I dream more then go through with things too so I relate. Love these coloured pencil Vespas. Maybe one day I'll bust out scans of all the cars I drew on my Rotring board when I was 11...

Which is a real shame... No offence, but your hand drawn work is so much better than your photoshop collages because it shows your personality. I'm an industrial designer, spent 6 years in art college, and I wish I could draw like you.

I'm really enjoying these. They remind me a lot of Steve Kirk's illustrations for Street Machine - one of my main influences and hence a big compliment. The best thing is the real imagination you're showing there, which I think is missing a lot from the current custom scene where nearly everyone seems to be recycling some aspect of the past.
I particularly like the various versions of the Passat.

The artistry is superb. It would be a shame if that's all the scans you had left.

Great thread. The VW type 34 razoredge variant/estate is my favourite concept so far! Great vision.

I hope you don't mind me adding to this. I spent a lot of my childhood 'drawing' cars, although I never really mastered 3 quarters views. Here's a few of my drawing from over 45 years ag0. I like '69 Camaro's and that spilled over into Opel manta A's... Not up to your standard but brings back memories. All drawn on large format computer printout paper with sprocket holes down the side (my dad was a computer engineer) makes it a bit difficult to scan in one piece. Pro-street look Pro-stock? dragster Roof chop and full on '70's style at the bottom Back to drag look Cortina MKIV 70's style Triumph Stag. Quite like the snail might have to adapt that for the MX5 as a logo.

I hope you don't mind me adding to this. ... Not at all, thanks for sharing. How old have you been back then? I started drawing cars at a very young age as my mom told me, but not as good as you. I later practiced a lot and got better since I once decided to study car design. But I rather wanted to do one-off stuff then being a small wheel in a big machine, so I did not even start to study. I'm guessing I was 14 to 18 for those drawings, most of them are actually tracings to be honest. But I probably started drawing cars from about 10 or so, those ones aren't worth posting though.

But I rather wanted to do one-off stuff then being a small wheel in a big machine, so I did not even start to study. That's a fallacy. Why would studying automotive design not help you become a designer of one-offs?

I love the T4s! Do you mind if I 'right click save as' on the blank one? I've got a boring white T4 and need to play with some ideas...
