Hello guys, just need some help, I recently bought a jump pack and on the jump pack it says 12 hour charge before use and charge after every use, so does that mean that once I jumped my car I need to charge it , also with it being charged after each use wouldn't it damage the battery as it being charged so much, and also it came with a car charger would this be ok to use or just stick to the home plug, thanks guys just wanted to ckearnit up as it's my time owning a jump pack lol anyways thanks In advance

Follow the instructions. The internal charger will deal with the charging rate, so plug it in.

everytime you use it you are draining it so if its a cheap one yes you will have to charge it after every use, that's what they are designed to do.
Plugging it in at home will charge it more efficiently.

I had a cheap one and I hardly ever charged it propley I'd just leave it connected after starting the car for 5 mins so the car charged it. Found they don't last if ya just jump start and not let it regain sum charge

The worst thing you can do to a lead acid battery is let it go flat. Batteries will discharge themselves over time even when untouched.
To keep it healthy, Put it on charge directly after using it, and then pop it on charge every month or two to keep it topped up and you'll be fine.
Unless it's very badly designed you shouldn't be able to over charge it.

Depends what kind of cells it uses. The old fashioned lead acid ones need recharging after use. The modern lithium cells hold their charge much better. I don't recharge my lithium starter pack after every use. I just keep an eye on the level monitor and recharge it when it starts dropping towards 50% - which to be honest can be quite infrequent.
If I've had to do several starts of a something big I'll recharge it just to make sure it's topped back to full capacity, but they don't seem to suffer if left at half-charge for months.

there's an old sealey thing in the unit I share and its just left plugged into the wall charger, its not a high amp thing so must be just a trickle charge.

I used to just leave them plugged in, now i jsut use a large van battery i charge it once a week weather it's used or not (it's lasted 3 years like that so far ?

After looking at how a lot of the chargers for these are made I would be very hesitant about leaving them plugged in unattended, particularly the Lithium ones.

Mine is only used 5 or 6 times a year but I plug it into the charger once a month or so & after it gets used.
Lasted 3 or 4 years or maybe even longer.
