Hi everyone , it's been a long long time since I've organised a meet but theres no harm in trying  Plan is to meet up in the car park at Rest bay , Porthcawl and just chill out , have a chat and look at some cars . Theres a cafe/ ice cream place on site but you could bring a bbq or whatever . Theres also a beach should you fancy a swim/surf ! Date is May 29th , bank holiday monday starting at around 1pm . Cheers I think the problem with organising impromptu retro / classic events is that the most attractive dates are bound to clash with dates of established events, (which many car enthusiasts will have already committed to). As an example, your bank holiday meet clashes with the Vale of Glamorgan Classic Car Show just a few miles down the coast in Sully. You can always use this link to check / plan, although it doesn't always cover smaller shows or shows which include classic cars but which aren't solely classic car events; Promoted car shows - May 2017Rest Bay's an awesome location for it but if the weather is nice I wonder if the (Pay & Display) car park will be chokka by then? |

Wise words Mkx. You can check local car shows by visiting www.swccc.net/ (the SouthWalesClassicCar Website). Or, more specifically, this page; SWCC eventsIt certainly has more Welsh shows but doesn't include more than a couple of those held elsewhere in UK. You've reminded me that it's their show in a week;  (Ninian Park football ground). There's always a really good line-up, they always take a good few £thousand on the gate which gets passed to charity, usually a local children's hospice. |
