selling this chaps. Solid m20 engine which goes well and original.
Interior is more or less immaculate but the exterior is a bit tired. It is what it is and is priced accordingly. Its not mint and has some rust showing on the offside floor near the jacking point and a small bit near the sunroof and the lower part of both wings. MOT'd about 6 weeks ago and I've gone about 3500 miles in it since then. No rust on the advisory but there was one for both rear disk rotors.
I really don't want this to be another one of these great cars broken up in Birmingham, so I'd prefer it to go to someone who wants a small, good running project.
Only history I have is a cam belt replacement plus all the work I've done: subframe bushes, trailing arm bushes, front wishbones and bushes, steering arms and ends, new correct battery. All parts Lemforder except steering arms which were Meyle.
Just driven it up to Wales and back full of stuff and currently using it on my daily 50 mile commute. No a problem apart from a 50-60 mph vibration. Its never used any oil or water. I have something else and have moved house so need the space
Also have a 2002 e39 530i sport touring topaz blue with black interior. I'd like to raise 3000 in total for both
E39 has folding mirrors, 16x9 nav, cd changer, Bluetooth, upgraded bm54 amp and all the other sport bits. It's had new front arms and bushes, pads and rotors all round, viscous fan (behr), new front shocks and health check at bmw. Rear airbags replaced a couple of years ago, plus a load of other bits. Paint isn't great but mechanically good. 196k.
