Yes B310 Sunny Coupes are now worth a fortune. If any come on the market people should snap them up for five figures at least ...

Strong money for undoubtedly cool cars but will they get the asking price I suppose is the real question, time will tell I guess. Have a traditionally expensive piece of cult cool Japanese on me

To be fair I have seen this car at Garage Sinister and its a nice car and probably one of only a handful (or possibly the only one) in the country. Also the pound has had a bit of hard time against the Yen so hence import prices are higher.

The beige one seems fairly priced for it's condition, rarity etc. The first one will need a lot of work to get it roadworthy on the presumption that any rust you can see in an advert is 200% worse in all the bits you can't see. I mean if it was an easy fix for an MOT the dealer would have done it right? On the other hand all the rare parts (which is probably everything on a Cressida) mightbe worth that much to the right people

I think a lot If it is people who just blindly bought British products through the 70s out of some kind of perceived loyalty to brand or country now know Japanese cars are superior in every way to similar aged European options (with the exception of maybe ze Germans), so when it comes to 'investing' in a classic these days, they're looking at Japanese cars rather than sticking to the British market options as they have done in the past. This obviously drive up values of cars that are already rare. Supply/demand.

My old '75 Datsun Cherry 100a recently sold on eBay for £3000! The new owner got in touch with me on my Cherry Facebook page. I sold it for £1300 three years ago after owning it for four years and spending as much again on keeping it on the road. Good job I'm not in the car business as I'd be bankrupt in weeks!

They're getting more and more desirable and expensive. Good if you currently own one, bad if you're an enthusiast who's dreamt of owning one but on a budget.

As with a lot of "classic" cars & bikes being advertised at the moment they all seem to have high price tags. From the few I have had my eye on this year not too many have actually sold or if they have the owners have not deleted their adverts. Has anyone actually sold their classic for strong money ?

I find its a weird balance, cult classics have sky rocketed. The bland vehicles are slowly on their way up. But J only vehicles or non-UK don't seem to have the same effect. They more reflect their own rarity and quality when it comes to price rather than have any scene tax.
I also find its only the UK and Japan that seem to have these prices, if you search Europe and the US there are still bargains to be had.

I've noticed prices of older Cherrys/Sunnys are on the up. I wonder if my 1994 J30 Nissan Maxima or 1983 T11 Datsun Stanza will ever be worth decent money? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I think some cars are ridiculously priced but then again that's personal opinion, japanese cars aren't common here so command a price just for having survived in the first place.
I'm just salty because I want a 240z for less than 10k but not a rusted out wreck for 10k that needs another 10k spent on it...

Cali, Texas, etc. where its usually dry. You wont get a minter but it should be in one piece. The only issue is then working with a private seller that wasnt expecting to export.
