So looks like photobucket has shat itself so I'll just try imgur lol A lil while ago I done a deal on some 13x8 ats classics with all centre caps and good tyres. The lovely bloke even delivered them to me!...  So a test fit happened...  Sits on the tyres on the rear and sits too high at the front... All stuff that will be sorted! Needless to say, I loove how they look! Cheers guys! |

What a thread revival!! Haven't been on here in about a year! Sorry guys, Anyway, last weekend my amazing parents sourced and collected a 1500cc sohc engine from a fiat x1/9 from Kent! I'm such a lucky curse word! It seems in okay nick, me and the ol' man will be fettling with it when we're next off together, main priorities are cambelt, clutch, bung it in, set the Webber carb up and go from there. Once it's running okay, a full stainless exhaust system will be next on the list and I may just get the bike carbs I've had sat around in a mate's workshop for 2 years fitted haha! Here's a pic of the engine bunged in the back of my dad's van! Cheers guys!  |

I'm lovin' this. Have some pic's of Yugos I like for inspiration. It looks like the ATS classics are the wheel of choice. Haha thanks! They're still quite big in Serbia, so parts are okay to come by once you get over the language barrier haha. Yeah it's cool! I'm currently in talks about getting the exhaust system made up with a bike carbs setup, so once the engine's in and zorst is set up, I'll get it sat nice! |

Really enjoying this thread, as a fellow owner of a curse word car made by communists ( the Allegro ) I am looking forward to seeing how this progresses. We used to have Swithland Motors near us in the late '80s which was a Yugo dealers so these were quite common in NW Leicestershire at one time.

I think these have more than a passing resemblance to the old mk1 golf and so I reckon it would look cool as a penguins nads sat low on Fuchs alloys!

When I was a kid we rented one of these in Split when it was apart of the old Yugoslavia, didn't think much of it as a 5 year old but always remembered the name and colour.
They're like an Italian/French influenced GTi and I'm surprised at how cool they are tbh.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'll look into to different wheels as my journey with the Yugo progresses! So... Today my amazing dad and I (I'm not too amazing tbh) got the old 1100 engine out and whipped the 1500 sohc engine in! Woohoo! Old engine out...  |
