For sale is this 1994 BMW 525i Sport Manual in Avus Blue. It is a genuine Sport, and an original manual car. Avus Blue is a great colour on them, but most had silver interior. This has the very desirable black Millpoint cloth and half leather interior, with black dash, black Sport headlining, and the very dark Birds-Eye Maple wood trim exclusive to the late Sport models. It has shadowline exterior trim as all late models did.
Continuing with the good points, the mileage is a mere 107k. For a 1994 car, and for a 525i which is a very usable daily car, this is pretty low.
This car was recently restored, within the last year or so. It had some welding done, mainly to the rear sills (as it is a sunroof car, very common for the drain areas to rot out), and around the boot aperture which is a common point as well. These have been done to a good standard, and there was hundreds of pounds spent on new bushes, suspension parts and maintenance at that time.
The car was also painted at the rear end, although it's not a perfect job. It is perfectly fine for a daily use car, but not for someone that intended to show the car.
The engine is quiet, and has been recently serviced. The clutch is good, the gearbox has no whines, the limited slip differential is working fine, not worn out, and the cooling system functioning as it should.
The wheels are the original BBS alloys, with good tyres.
The points that would need addressed are just a few - the rear doors could do with being painted, as could the front bumper. The perfectionist will want to repaint the entire car no doubt.
It has an OBC fitted but the screen displays an error code. Another OBC unit was tried and it's not that. Check control module may be the culprit, and will be changed over, but mentioned in case this doesn't fix it.
It's priced according to the condition, and allows you to think about doing some more work to it, but the base is a decent mileage genuine manual Sport in a good colour combination, and solid. Ready to drive away with MOT until August 5th, and three months driveline warranty.
