I took the carb off, and has a look into it, didn't fancy dismantling it at the time, everything looks clean as a whistle.
It clearly worked properly at some point, matey left it over winter, and it wouldn't work this year.
There is a throttle screw on the carb, plus one other, but is a round pin with one slice/notch cut out, recessed in a protruding housing. I'm assuming that is an idle screw, but I've got to find something to turn it with!

Couldn't turn the screw with various implements today, have bought a set of carb adjusting tools off fleabay as the modern tools all seem to have funny adjusters.

Got the carb tools through yesterday. Tinkered with it today, and it seems to be running spot on.
Just cut a 100ft hedge with it!

The other day I had trouble with the multi tool again, played about getting it to run, then realised the choke lever worked the other way, so I was trying to start it without choke! Fiddled more, and thought I had it set right again.
But, this morning I'm cutting another hedge with it, it clonked out, I pulled the start, fireball. Methinks something isn't quite right...

Picked this up the other week for £20. Finally had a chance to stick some fuel in it...

It's not retro, so don't feel I can open a new thread, but picked this up last night: No.34: 2007 Honda CBF500

Been a busy couple of weeks. Picked up another rotovator, 3 chainsaws, and a MIG welder.

I'm struggling a bit with photos since Photobucket screwed everyone over. But I'll see what I can do!

Here is the other rotavator, Merry Tiller. Put some fuel in and turned it over, think a few seals have gone as it was spitting fuel out of everywhere. Didn't get it to fire.

Photobucket doesn't allow you to share your photos without you handing them a wad of cash.

It will just want a new diaphragm in the carb or possibly the points cleaning. Other than oil changes that's all my dad's has had and it's slightly older looking than that one!

That's a nice width! All running? 20 inch cut it was sat in a barn for about 8 yeras I spent a few days trying to get it started with no joy until it decided to throw a flame from the exhaust and discovered it had a stuck valve, got the valve moving again, put it all back together and it starts and runs nicely. I videoed the first start I will upload later

Not had much time to work on things, been flat out with work, and bought a new van (that's in another thread).
I'll update a few bits when I get a chance. But for now, that Westwood Gazelle 11HP, there is no flap on the back for running a powered sweeper...
Does anyone know if the belt attaches elsewhere, or did only some models have that feature?

Not updated this for a while. Probably gained several more machines! Lol I now have a Westwood Gazelle with a sweeper, but it runs off the mowers wheels using a roller, rather than a belt driven pto. Also, at the start of 2020 I bought a 1967 Thwaites Tusker, and managed to get it road registered. I'm going to try posting photos stored on Imgur, but it seems such a messy site, I'm not sure it'll work... ...and I've now just bought a very old dumper!
