It is a shame that the police don't do more as it would surely stop more and more of these cars going missing.

Was at lunch today with an old pal of mine who was in a CTO function at UBS. He was telling me that he was running an experiment using smart tag blue tooth trackers in his cars rather than the traditional trackers. As long as there is a Bluetooth device within range it will give an accurate location/ last location which he can track from his phone. Think the tags are around £3 so you could stick a few in your car and do your own tracking... Sure that if you knew where the car was being out of site wouldn't stop you retrieving it.... Worth a try? P.  |

I Have seen these Bluetooth trackers for sale in a local shop for £5 each , for so little money I think that they would definatley be worth a try.

By the weekend we will have pedal locks on both our Defenders. The Bluetooth stuff looks interesting but I think the batteries only last a year and then you have to remember to replace the whole unit. Not a problem at those prices but it's the remembering that would get me.

Why is the uptake of snap off steering wheel boss's so slow?
I have had one for 8 years now on my mk2 golf, but time after time i read of cars being pinched after alarms being disabled
No wheel = no go
Unless it's towed away, its not going anywhere unless perhaps a very substantial pair of mole grips are used lol

The snap off part shouldn't have an impact on what aftermarket wheel you can fit, as they generally have bolt arrangements to suit various aftermarket boss's ie Momo, Sparco, Raid etc... |
