Pulled it out the garage today, gave it a service and changed a few bits and bobs. All done Spent a bit of time securing the side skirts and jacking covers so I'm happy to drive it now without the fear of bits falling off. Went for a drive May well give the paint some attention tomorrow, clay bar, polishing and waxing but depends how i feel.

Managed to get out in the old Corsa quite a bit in the last few weeks, cured a squeak on the back end which improved the experience of driving it no end Took it to a local Cars and Coffee and then used it for the daily commute for a week to enjoy it a bit more The existing Spax coilovers on the front are well past their best so time for some new ones plus some new bushes to hopefully tighten it all up. The plan is, before I go on holiday next month i'll get the arms and ARB off and send them to the powder coaters then build it back up when I get back.

Nice looking Corsa that. I used to have a 99 1.6 Sport, was never a patch on a GSi.
I think also we could have stumbled across each other at billing. Was that 2015 or 2016? I was on the stand over from Corsasport with my Nova sting.

Thanks, my other half has a 1.4 Sport for a cheap as chips runaround and you're right, it's no GSi I was on the Corsasport stand in 2015 and the JOV stand in 2016 so i'm sure I would have come across your sting. Do you have a thread on png? username certainly rings a bell.

I think PNG was the first forum I ever joined back in 1998 ish The Nova was always my first love I think at last count I had owned 11 of them! My GTE on the PNG stand (that was then Novaload.net) at Trax back in 2001 or 2002

I think I could have been there with the original PNG. If I'm right in my thinking I would have had my swap shop of a Nova SR.
As for forums... I was on RoyBacer, got banned from Novaload.net due to having the username of ... Novaload! Lol confused a lot of people!

Little bit of progress this last week... Started off by giving the car a good clean, clay bar and then ran over it with the DA, looking nice and fresh again now. Pictures are prior to polishing as it was chucking it down when I was doing it in my garage.. Dropped the lower arms and ARB earlier this week and these are now at the powder coaters.

She's looking absolutely mint, gets better and better with each update. Seen a few getting broke over here for their engine which is a real shame given how few are left. Would love one at some stage.

Would look good in the garage next to my Nova Gte I was very close to putting it up for sale a couple of months ago to get something else but decided against it, it still isn't worth a great deal so would have cost me too much extra to buy a MK2 Golf GTi which is what I was after.

Thanks They are getting very rare now. When the regular base model Corsa B's die out these will become quite a rare sight I think. Currently gets very little love at meets as I guess a Corsa B is still seen as modern ish.

Worth very little? You'd be suprised, two on eBay both fetched over £3k on eBay last week. One had no mot!

I'm over the MK2 Golf thing now anyway, keeping the little Vauxhall for the foreseeable

First time @ Retro Rides yesterday and loved it, fantastic show. Plenty of awesome cars on display the hill climb is epic, first one I have watched, couldn't get enough of it. As it happens, the route there was bloody fantastic, twisty roads and pretty empty, perfect for hot hatch driving, thoroughly enjoyed the journey there and back far more than the usual boring M6. I was on the MIG stand, car was clean as a whistle before I left but the 100 mile drive saw that off!
