I just woke up. In Sussex. Have a great day BNMAC. Get pics! Mate, I read your PM halfway up the M40 by which time it didn't seem very worthwhile replying. Soz. I should have allowed an extra 15 minutes for @quatermass vacillation into my early morning ritual and checked the forum before I left

It was alright, but there were loads of el-caminos there, I stopped counting at 183.... it was embarrassing for everyone tbh, the Marshalls were trying to hide them in hedges and all sorts!
All the el-Camino owners looked really shocked and then despondent, and then felt duty bound to talk to each other!! Mostly about their 8hour, 500 mile journeys and how they felt rejuvenated instead of tired at the end of it!!

My journey up the M5 was much longer because of the convoy of El Camino's, 3 abreast doing 55mph and having to avoid ponies falling off them.

I should have allowed an extra 15 minutes for @quatermass vacillation into my early morning ritual and checked the forum before I left Haha no worries. It was my wife really. I hadnt really clearly booked the day as a day where I'd be buggering off... mainly because I just didnt know if I wanted to do that kind of distance so soon after buying the car, but then after the day-long arduous journey home it really didnt feel like something I wanted to do again so soon. So my wife had organised a Sunday that involved me looking after kid#2 in the afternoon. I let that decide my mind for me. Then late evening I did that whiny manipulation thing of basically whimpering about wanting to go even though I knew I couldn't, and she then said "well go if you want to go, we'll be okay, I can take kid#2 with me". Then I pondered a bit more and eventually tried to reach you and Elky, but by then it was too late. Really though, I'm kind of relieved it didnt work out that way. It's 50 minutes to Elky's, then the 4 hours up there, then all that again in reverse. 9 hours of driving for about 5 hrs of BNMAC. Since I got the Camino (not quite two days ago), I've put £130 of Petrol in it. I havent left Sussex once so far. So it probably would have cost £4000 to drive it to Worcester and back. I hope it was a good day though. Are there pics? Was the BNMAC official photographer there? (That's you by the way) (And you were there) (So post them ruddy pics and stop being maudlin about your photography. Everybody loves it)

don't worry about it. It's not actually my daughter. I would never post a picture of my daughter on the internet as it's exploiting her anonymity as a minor in my care.
No, this was just a small child who was passing by on her scooter. I grabbed her and popped her in the back of my pick up truck to get a photograph.
Hove is so stuck up though that somebody saw it happen and called the police. Like I'm doing something wrong! Idiots... I just threw a random kid into the back of my pick up ffs. Hardly crime of the century!
I'm in custody now believe it or not. Talk about over-reaction!
Anyway, got to go. Big Gene wants to put his phone back up his Harris before the guards come back and see it.

I think that's bang out of order (putting a girl with pigtails in the trunk boot of your car).

If anyone is wondering why the weather is so bad for the middle of summer and we're experiencing biblical rain every single day... its my fault.
Whenever I buy a new old car it triggers 8" of rain every day for six weeks until my new car has started dissolving.
It's done that every single time without fail.
Sorry everyone.

Ah, so that's where it's gone. We had rain every day for three weeks until Friday. Thank you!

In honour of page 327 of The Naughty Corner... "The Chevrolet 327-cubic-inch V8 originated with the small-block family of engines that first appeared in 1955 with a 265 cubic inch powerplant. ... During its eight years of production, the potent 327 engine became known among small-block aficionados as a “mighty mouse” of a motor that was extremely compact and efficient"

Anyway, I cant believe nobody on RR has mentioned that the UK's best TwoLaneBlacktop tribute car was at RRG this weekend. It fell to one of my RatBastard compadres to send me word and a picture.

Anyway, I cant believe nobody on RR has mentioned that the UK's best TwoLaneBlacktop tribute car was at RRG this weekend. It fell to one of my RatBastard compadres to send me word and a picture. Again, I saw it, and lusted after it and didn't know what to say. You are the one with all the words, so I left it to you. (you've forgotten more words than I know)

Can't see that being much fun in the rain... I would imagine a dogging permit system would take a lot of the fun out of it too. I can only imagine though. I'm not... I don't... I mean, it's not, I'm, I don't
