So after selling our Shoebox Ford retrorides.proboards.com/thread/134125/1950-shoebox last year and spending some of the funds on a bedroom for number 2 child Jack,we had been on the look out for another toy when this popped up on a selling site . Currently the container ship is sitting just off the Isle of White waiting to go into Southampton so not long to wait .

Massive amounts of massive there! Makes my Datsun estate look like the runt of the litter. Love the vast amount of glass.

Blue lace panel job on the roof and some nice coach line panels pinstriped on the side and job done Panel painting the roof was on the list of plans for it . As well as the 2 big boxes of parts that are in the back . Due at the docks in a few hours , then wait for HMRC to decide how much they want to remove from my pocket .

We collected the Chevy from Southampton docks on Tuesday , so now home in the garage . First sight and the long walk from one end to the other . On the trailer , At home to see what we have . Jack seems to like the space Then inside to unpack the rest of the package Overall we are really happy with it , already in the middle of a brake service as it pulled a bit to the left . Very solid and apart from a few bubbles in the paint on the rear arches and a drvive through paint job at some point it is excellent. Suprisingly only the licence plate lamp fails to work Now to get it legal and load it up for camping .

You realise that you have seen the future....?
Wagons are the future. No doubt.
Even though my truck is what I like and love, I predict that wagons will be the next big thing over here.
You seem to have struck the jackpot.
Loving it. Well done.

We will probably do the same as what we did with the Ford and use it for a few years and pass it on to a new owner .

diff So the bags are in? Simply wonderful wagon man. Do all the seats fold down? That'll be a rather comfy place to sleep I'd imagine. Good luck with it man. CFD

Now to get it legal and load it up for camping ................ Just add curtains to the rear - you'd get a family camped in there, with all that room !! Top job.

CFD Yes bag kit all in , in the process of fitting the new shock relocation kit . rear seats fold flat to leave a very large load area , first job after the rod runs is a very large boot sale .
