I recently posted in whats it worth as a friend was selling the above, i ended up buying it. Its no show queen as it is absolutely filthy and requires a good clean which will happen as and when I have time.

Cool! My dad bought one of these a little while ago, we finished a C20xe conversion on it a about six months ago. Great little car :-)
Do you have plans for this one?

Finally managed to get it into the garage tonight after pushing the B around and having to call a mate to shunt the Caterham due to binding brakes.
First thing is to get an MOT, it has done 13 miles since the last one, in fact it has covered 6000 miles in 10 years! When I get a chance I will attack it with the jet washer to make it cosmetically better and work on the looks as we go, I prefer function over form!
I'm hoping to check fluids, tyre pressure etc this weekend and go for a shake down run to see what we have and then start a list as I do with the B!
My intention was to turn it round quickly but I think that is out the window now!

Think big, think outside the box! How about .... Rolls Royce Merlin 27L V12 aero engine. There's loads of them lying around all over the place in the Brecon Beacons. You might need to upgrade your suspension & raise your seat a bit!

At the price I paid I could not really pass it up, I'm looking forward to winter nights in the garage listening to Chris Rea (a owner and fan) rebuilding the suspension!
I'm thinking of stripping the blue and going to Aluminium with possible satin black cycle wings and nose cone.
That V12 needs a milk float!

So, small update, I thought a quick attack with the jet washer on the front arms would allow me to see if they are an easy fix or a blast and powder coat and i think its going to be the latter as you can see from the photos below: This weekend coming I'm going to liberally apply a degreaser to the engine to try and clean it a bit: I'm desperately trying to get it booked into my Local Garage at the moment so I can get the carbs balanced / serviced, when you go to pull off their is a dip in power and after inspecting the carb to manifold gaskets they are perished so really need to get them looked at before doing much more driving. In the meantime it now fits snuggly in the Garage with the B I have pretty much decided to have the Nose Cone and all Wings sprayed in white to complement the Blue, I know it may not be the purist colours but they are the only bits that let the bodywork down.

One of my Clients cancelled their afternoon appointment, the sun was out, the birds were singing so I took the B out to a few farm shops to collect food for the weekend, I love where I live and supporting the local food and beer outlets!
Went out for a couple of hours as was expecting rain and returned at 5 hoping SWMBO would be ready to cruise to the pub. The B is an angel on one shoulder but in the man cave the 7 was bouncing on my other shoulder.
SWMBO had had a fettling in the hair garage earlier so on the pretence of going to the pub Obviusley she thought we were taking the Autobahn Bruiser until I pointed to the 7 hiding round the corner, 30 miles later we stopped like shaking sh1tting dogs due to the things the 7 does to you!
I'm keeping this one! ..... The Car!

My brother had one of these for a while, I remember it being painful. The freezing cold air in your face and up your nose, hurts after a while. Mind you his didn't have a windscreen, just hump thing. Brilliant cars though, just no compromise at all

Bit of a small update, I got the Caterham into the same Garage that set up the Carbs and electronic ignition on the B a few months back and happy to report it came back running a lot better with the low down 'bog' now balanced out and the whole thing more responsive and idling!
Whilst at it Chris gave the C a good going over and highlighted nothing requiring immediate attention which is a big relief considering the lack of use by the PO.
Whilst at the garage Chris also recommended a good paint shop up the road from us so they will get the wings and nose cone in November to respray in the original Colour.
Following the work above I gave the Car a clean, possibly one of the things I hate most is Car cleaning and my daily only gets that kind of treatment when it is serviced, anyway, I want to get the wheels refurbished and new tyres will be required but i am unsure whether or not to upgrade to larger diameter 14's rather than 13's, originality is the key for me. I did miss out on a pair of 13's that had been refurbished with decent tyres recently by 'sticking to my limit'.
The MOT is now due so i need to spend a few hours going over lights, wipers etc and try to get it booked in next week if work permits!
I'm half thinking of moving it on as A - I have ticked the box and B - I'm wanting more of a hands on project!
Thanks for reading.

MOT passed with an advisory on the handbrake which was duly adjusted so I have just been using it when the weather has allowed!
I took it for a 25 mile spin the other night which was quite cool going through lots of small villages around me and worked out the range on the tank is 100 miles, I know this as left with quarter of a tank and ran out of go go juice about 5 miles from home!
I have decided to move it on but am going to get the cycle wings and nose cone smartened up first in the Autumn so most likely will look for a replacement for it in spring.
Thanks for reading!

Nice caterham, looks just the ticket for summer drives, Pic above - is that a homemade pressure washer? I purchased the pressure washer from a colleague, but it is an awesome piece of kit being petrol and it can run from a water drum also which is handy! Basically a lawnmower engine with a pump on the bottom!
