Totally bonkers Thanks for sharing I saw "twin engine" in the title, saw 2 cams under the bonnet, then looked at the boot for the 2nd engine (don't laugh, it's been done before - even in a volvo ) - then saw the pic of the block (blocks ?) ... Maybe it was done that way so the 2nd engine can be decoupled (clutch locked down) and turned off for "economy" mode?

BMW V12's are built and set up very much as a pair of inline sixes, seperate ECU to run each bank etc. It wouldn't take much to have it all running on six, twelve, eighteen or twenty four cylinders if you felt the need.
But does one built something like that for economy?

Very impressive. I love the fact that the wheelarches are moved forward 8 inches front and rear and it still looks right! Gives a lot of room for the engines and would help transfer a bit of the massive weight back to the rear wheels. Very clever. Also, forward-hinged bonnet!

If it's anything like this: Then a belt drive essentially, Double Trouble is ace as is this 2v12 monster.

Amazing engineering skills. How on earth does the flywheel work on that? It wouldn't beyond the wit of man to have a gear drive setup to drive a common flywheel between the two cranks. That would be my approach to the matter anyways.
