this is an option for sure... tho atm funds and facili``1``•#$#31$46$'#2''ties wont allow it, perhaps a new year thought! currently oscillating betw1@#$#een a 40 or 60mm drop atm, may depend on which bit of decent ki11t appears first !? Definately think about spending a little more on a set of FK coilovers. Well worth the extra dosh. If you look at my corsa (decent pics in the for sale thread), That's as low as they go (before the helper springs catch on the front tyres anyway), take them out and it'll drop more and I'm pretty sure you could remove the adjustable rear platform off to lower the rear a tad more.

Turn the pump screw 1/4 turn in ,fit a boost gauge and a bleed valve..
redirect the air filter if you have the stacked inlet and don't bother with a front mount the gains arn't worth it if you still want more run water meth.....
60mm drop and a set of 15" steels sorted........
OH and if fitted with the standard f13 box I doubt you'll see 100mph...
If you serous about tuning I'll guide you through it I'm running a three door 15 isuzu and she's a snorter!!!

I'm guessing thats a 60mm drop? i had a battered track corsa on coilovers in the past.... it was scrapped with the coilovers still on!

It probably works out to be more like -100 mm, it'll drop yours further (this goes for any kit you buy) being a 'normal' model they start off higher.

I got pulled for an alleged 103 in a standard non intercooled y17dt corsa c - 63 Bhp in a heavier car. So I would have thought a b with the 1.5 would hit a ton easy.
Awesome engines these Isuzu lumps I had a bet with a mate as to how long it would last with nothing done to it at all. 4 years and 110k miles later - same oil, filter, fuel filter and everything else the body has given up to tin worm before the motor.

Its the gear ratio that determines top speed not the engine,
The f13 box runs out of puff at around 90 plus mph... a 17td may not of had the f13 box....
Anyway its not about top speed its everything in-between that counts........

Tbh I think it probably did have the f13 box it was redlined in top at an indicated 105 but it was on 15" Astra sport steels and balloony 195/50 tyres so probably had 5% taller gearing than stock.

the gearing does hold it for sure top end, i got indicated 97 then 100 on two runs tho totally agree its the grunt in the middle that its about, i think the 1.5 (for its size) can shift surprisingly through lower speeds, if you squeeze it hard enough

to be pedantic its fluid drag that limits top speed, not car weight or gearbox. of course if you are hitting the governor before you reach the aero limited top speed, longer gearing would increase it slightly.

soooo, to get the old girl a bit lower have picked up a set of these 40mm drop, and as coilovers are out of budget these seemed alright at £25!

well the travellers tried to nick her.... one door ruined, but the ancient immobiliser appears to have scared them off. they never checked the boot fortunately, had a decent tool bag and trolley jack in there and I live in a "good" neighbourhood alas now not sure what the plan for my faithful old hack is now... i think the sills need a patch or two with the MOT in a few weeks.... and I cant weld

Good time to talk to your insurers I would have thought, little claim to smooth the passing of your MOT no?

Shame some scumbags tried to steal it, makes your blood boil. Does the door still open and close as it should?
