To me retro is anything that I double take a look at and think , jeez been a while since I've seen one of those.
Although those honda's are getting on in years they're still fairly common and the shape hasn't aged to badly, probably due to MG-R using the same shape shell up until 2005 with the 45/ZS

To me anything 90's seem's pretty modern to me, I drive a '97 MX5, one of the newest cars I've owned, but I suppose they look/feel 'old' and came out in '89.....so do count.

Who cares if it's retro or not? Drive it, enjoy it and improve it. You'll get plenty of respect from like minded folk.

Hi, long term lurker, first time poster. This is a subject that interests me, as someone said above, a lot can depend on your age and what you grew up with - so I would include 80s and 90's cars, possibly some later ones that you rarely see, but that doesn't me right, or wrong. If you like it, what does it matter what anyone else thinks?

Personally, I think it probably is Retro. Any car whose 'styling language' differs substantially from anything available new through age is retro in my eyes. I think I might steal that, it's a very succinct way of explaining how I feel about the "is it retro?" question.
