Beach Buggies are awesome - one of the most fun cars you can ever own. This was my first one - transport to college when I was 18! (I swapped it for a 1968 Mini Cooper - long before the prices of Minis went sky high!) Had a few more over the years..... the day I sold my most recent one :-( In fact - if anyone has one of my old buggies and wants to sell it back to me please let me know! The reg. numbers were LMP14k, Q718NTR, SBF762D, CVX492B and 741UXG

Currently driving a 1972 BMW 1602 as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

this one is pretty smart but,it seems somehow out of proportion. not helped in part by the tyres I guess.

Bryn's Hustler is my all time favourite buggy. It even inspired me to buy my own project a few years ago. Then I remembered I suck and sold it again. But it will probably still have a big influence on the Baja... Old thread here... retrorides.proboards.com/thread/103760?page=1

I had a GP LDV many years ago, like Kustomkriss's white camo one on page one. Swapped it for a Karmann Ghia project, which was swapped itself years later for a '51 Beetle. I've been collecting parts for another one tho - got a new Manx body in bright red, a tax exempt IRS cabrio floorpan, and enough engine parts for a 180bhp 2276cc engine... think of a 4 wheeled superbike! I might be tempted to let that project go though, another idea has taken hold! Lets see if i can find some photos!

This is my father-in-laws, and will be mine when I am rich enough to afford 2 garages or silly enough to not garage the Triumph.

There is a lovely metallic copper one parked in a garage in Farnborough and it must get used as it was facing a different way than usual last time I drove past last week. Looks gorgeous!

Did someone mention impractical? Buggies are positively practical compared to a rail without any bodywork or glass. Its difficult to explain just how much the cold hurts when you get caught out in an unexpected flurry of snow like my Son and I did a few years ago. I just noticed how there are no tracks between the front and rear tyres in the first pic, it must have arrived in that spot sideways
