Equally, Pinocchios on adenau hight street is very good. For both pistenklause and Pinocchios, you do need to book in advance, even out of season. Super off topic and sorry for the semi hijak here. I see in your avatar that looks like a clubman on the ring, I see your sig says 2.0L mini, Vauxhall I am assuming? You got a build thread link? Have a Vauxhall powered mini myself. How did you find it at the ring? traveling and performing at the ring?

It was fine. Cruised at 75 all the way. Did the ring no problem. Puzzled a few m3's. The mini is much faster than I can drive it.

Pistenklaus for the best steak on a stone you will ever taste
USE YOUR MIRRORS - the local boys will happily shoot pass you doing a tonne faster than you
Stick to the right hand side of the track, faster cars pass on the left
Weekdays are a lot quieter than the weekend
Learn the track first on the xbox/playstation (it really helps!)
Watch lots of videos on YouTube of similar cars to yours going round so you can see what gears they are in for which corners
Watch lots of crash videos on YouTube so you can see the usual spots that people do too quick then note those when learning it on xbox/playstation
Take it easy and enjoy the day, it's bloody awesome!

I would suggest that an evening in Pistenklause should be a car-nut rite of passage. It really is that good.
If you are planning a longer trip, I can recommend staying in Cochem. Beautiful town on the Moselle river with loads (and I mean LOADS) of great restaurants and bars and a nice 25km drive to the 'Ring so you arrive with everything fully warmed through and ready for track action.

Everything as said before, do the steak and take it easy
If your feeling flush the hotel on the side of the pits was pretty cool to stay in. Think it was about 90 for a twin room when i went a couple of months ago.
Go karting next to the museum was a good laugh if your going in a group too.
The museum was worth a look

It's great! I've been 7 or 8 times, love it. I've always enjoying staying at The Blaue Ecke, and The Hotel Wilhelmshoehe, both are great. First is in town (Adenau), second a few miles out. Eating wise, as above Pistenklause is great, but my recommendation is The Comfy Corner - ask the owner, Jorg for schnitzel - it's amazing As no one else has posted any pics of their cars on track yet, here's a few of mine over the years
