I never knew they did Dimma CTI's! I'm going to keep an eye on this, very interested to see what one looks like complete! Has it got a full set of the unique Dimma Alloys?

Good luck with the rebuild. Looks awesome!
How much did you pick it up for? And is the silver one a genuine Dimma also?

I recall a red CTI being for sale in Merseyside on ebay last year, was very very rough and went for buttons

I much prefer the Image split 5s over the OE styled split rims. If my Ducati didn't rinse me of every penny I would love to have fitted them on my 205 getting rid of the huge spacers I currently have.

I paid just over 2k for this more than I've spent on any other car lol, standard 205 cti's are worth nothing compared to gti's I paid £250 for a comete running cti with 84.000 miles and complete history that I will use for parts on the dimma.
My silver one wasn't genuine but was a very good spec, I sold it last December.
What 205 is yours Loudandproud? Not many people prefer the image splits to the standard 1.9 style wheels.

Mine started life as a standard 1.6 GTI, I never liked the Dimma front and rear bumpers so I bought the car and made it my own much to the dislike of many purists, but its my car so I built it for me to enjoy. That was over a decade ago now it sits a shadow of its former self while I whittle my money away on other projects awaiting me to start on it again. I can say that the effort that goes in to fitting the kit is way more than the effort that went to making it the panel fit is terrible and when you spend £1000 extra buying genuine Dimma over replica parts I did expect it to work better. If I was ever doing one again I'd get one with the kit already fitted. I don't really like the standard wheels I hated the standard 1.6 wheels the 1.9s were a bit better but still wasn't appealing to me and never understood why they commanded such premiums. To me modifying was about personal taste so when you have 50 cars all the same its not really about beng different lol. Compermotive did make some really nice lattice style wheels but never offered them in Peugeot PCD thinking it was on VW fans than wanted that style back then

I am terrible at taking pictures while I work and at updating project threads, here's some of what I've been doing I got quite a lot done over Christmas. I have fitted a mohair roof and all the glass except the front door Windows also most Windows seals are fitted I just need to find some good scraper seals which are hard to come by for ctis as the shrink badly I have got the complete wiring loom out of my donor car and fitted along with the sound deadening under the carpet this usually Is very damp and crumbled in most 205s it wasn't to bad in the donor car so I used some flash banding roofing stuff to heat up and apply to the top of the sound deadening to keep it together. Before After I got the engine pulled out of the donor and into the garage where I gave it s good clean up along with a new cambelt, water pump, clutch and replaced the sump as the original was very rusty. Once I had got all the brackets that needed to go into the engine bay I got the brake lines in the engine bay done and got the engine in. Engine in the donor car Brackets, heat shields and brake lines in I am now waiting for some power steering hoses to arrive the I can get the inlet manifold fitted and start getting things into place in the engine bay.

Few more jobs done, after picking up some steel fuel line from Peugeot I got the fuel lines run and connected up in the engine bay at the same time I ran the rear brake lines under the car and above the tank then got the tank on and all connected up. Then I've turned to the interior and getting electrics working again for the first time in many many years I got all the looms joined up and chucked a battery on and it seems like everything should work ? won't be long before it will run.

Thinking of using these wheels Front window regulators are now fitted so all glass is now in along with the electric Windows working. Had a problem with the fuse for the central locking, radio and interior light blowing it turned out I had plugged the switch for the glovebox light into the fuse board rather than the switch, so now all the wiring is fitted correctly and working I've now got the glovebox and some of the dash refitted I've fitted a toad alarm aswell. I've also got my donor cti nearly ready to go to scrap everything I might need is now removed from it so that can go to scrap and I can get my old cj back which I will be using all the suspension from, it's got brand new gas coilovers Motaquip 1.9 wishbones , gti6 front brakes and rear discs all with new discs and pads so will be nice and quick to bolt up to the dimma.

Looks fantastic - epic resto. Please tell me you're going with deep dished alloys as per original, to fill those wide arches though?!

Looking deservedly spectacular. Still surprised it was originally painted such a 'conservative' colour with the wild kit when even the once original? white may have had more impact.. if not so good at showing off the quality workmanship required to get such a nice finish.
