i love a project (or 10) but sometimes my ambition and ideas outweigh my talent. I'm short on time so sometimes my projects get rushed, take a life time or get left, My current biggest project is my massey 590, I waiting on some track rods coming from Belgium so I've decided to post this thread up, or my little builds that don't really deserve a thread but if i put loads of little builds no one might notice. I fairly sure i have some gypo blood in my and i can't refuse a freebee and love a bargain, I also hoard. we are a cycling family but i want my garage back i came across an old bike shed built for scaffold going in a skip ...... i'll have that thanks. I've had an idea running through my mind about building a bike rack to hold the bike up high clearing the floor this saw it the dogs!!! I can chop 2 tonne bags full of fence posts for our log burning in under an hour (fencing contractor drops me fence posts off for chicken eggs) without checking for nails, it cuts wood and metal with the same blade i wanted the feet the be raw bolted to the walls of my garage but i soaked them and used heat but could not free the allan key studs short go time i had to improvise not as pretty but there was a reason for my double bar method first attempt it worked. the idea is that the bar is so close to the ceiling the seat gets trapped and holds many bikes of different sizes with one fixing like i said it worked for my bike because the seats are higher then the bars, it didn't work for the kids bikes this is where the second bar came into play, i angled it so it would trap the seats on the smaller bikes and hold them, but being a bit lower the (higher) handle bars still had clearance. I also moved the second bar to the middle so the big bikes are at the edge

i would really like to convert a horse lorring into a badass motorhome, log burners, chesterfield settee, drop down back, but for the time being i'll have to be content with my tin tent, Caravans are handy for cheap hols and living like a gypo but the beds suck!! and i have a few children so I've converted my caravcan a little to suit us better before so i picked some bits and went over to the barn for some amendments ..... took the boys, this is our pet lamb minty, seemed like a good idea at the time, its not he's a bell end, so if someone offers you s lamb say no., my life style is a bit ... out there while i tried to get to work the boy and his lamb did everything possible to distract me and put me off I went through a few ideas for more and proper feeling beds and decided on a single sofa style bed, that folds into a double and a crows next style bunk bed for the boy i put a head board on the cut the corner off to miss the caravan wall when i fold it away anyone spot the problem above ? I cant open the toilet door when the beds out ,,,,, no good after bbq and beer took it off turned it round and fitted it to the inside, now it open inwards and theres plenty of room to get round it, but it has 2 upside down coat hooks and rabbit on the inside now for the crows nest recessed round the curtains, i want to replace them with a blind at some point cut some in and out holes 18mm ply, no nails and plenty of screws and supports. its not going anywhere its sanded but i want to either paint it or stain it, but we are staying in it tonight as I've lost a little table i used a bit of wood i'd taken out and the hinges (love reusing stuff) and fitted this to plate up fry ups folds away neatly defy needs painting anyway, while writing this i've had a cup of tea, 2 black coffees and 2 packs of pickled onion monster munch for my breakfast, i off to get some foam for the fold out bed, then give it a good clean at my mums, i'm on a water meter

Used a ladder at the far end (feet end) above the bed. I want a longer ladder that will touch floor when it's folded and would sit at an angle towards the edge of the bed when it's folded out. If that makes sense

Just day van really in the t4. The captain seats in the front have swivel bases and the middle row of seats fold down to a table. Some where warm and dry to eat your chips at the sea side when it's raining

cheers the purpose of this was when my 2 teenage daughter are stay over last the week and its a nice weekend we can go away for the night (or 2) with all 6 of us in the caravan with as little hustle as possible and weve been away this weekend ... and great success! thats 2 girls tucked up nicely and a small one above, (a 4 year old in with up on a double) all slept well, no falling out and easy to swap, just needs finishing now (like most my other projects) and she can go and have an hour watching telly when she gets tired

I love the top bunk. And the bike storage is inspired. The only thing is that you clearly don't have enough bikes! Cheers Duncan

good and bad news: replaced my battery and charging port on my phone for a grand total of £10:00 (yes eBay and thanks youtube) apple quoted me £250. So what I'm saying is i have a normal camera so the good news is no more arty phones. Bad news my battery was flat so a couple of arty photos think bar a wooden bunk bed ladder which are surprisingly expensive, i'm done on the tin tent project added a £14;99 wilko blind, mrs has sown the runners back on the front curtains (don't you just love kids) I sold the awning that came with it and bought this www.decathlon.co.uk/camping-shelter-25m-x-25m-id_8295842.htmlnice and sturdy and heavy rain proof. i found setting the awning up a ball ache. i'm all about the easy life. I take a pic of it set up when we next use it.
