I'm on a mission to get my Turbodiesel intercooled. And I'm having issues with space to find for a conventional, decently sized air/air intercooler. So I have thought about air/water intercooling. Whilst they are more complex and require space for two radiators, they offer more freedom in placement & piping.
Now - I do know of the "kits" offered on eBay etc. But: they do not look very "OEM".
So I'm basically after a "mass produced" item.
So far I have found:
- Mercedes C30 CDI AMG (rare, expensive and tends to leak...)
- Mercedes G270 CDI (rare - noone breaks these cars...)
- Jaguar XJR Supercharged (integrated into manifold, difficult to use)
- Mercedes 400 CDI (difficult to use, V engine, two inlets)
- Some Mercedes AMG V-engines (same issus as above)
But I'm sure there are more, I'm not focused on Mercedes intercoolers. Clue me up please! Thanks!
