Was made aware of this Netherlands based Princess. All very well you might say, it's just Vulgalour posting about Princesses again, but look carefully and what do you see on the back window... I have expressed an interest in acquiring this fine piece of aftermarket tat for my own appalling British car and of course it has ignited my desire to see more cars with rear window louvres. The only RR threads I can find are old For Sale adverts even though I'm sure there was a thread for this sort of thing. NAME CHANGE ALERT : Vulgalouvre You heard it here first PS You should have a PM tonight about that project. Sorry

Can I play too? It has taken me years to track one of these down - was so pleased to finally get one last year. It is a genuine AutoPlas item but I am missing just one of the four mounting clips. They slide under the window rubber and then there is a vertical bit that the louvre sits on with a tolerance fit - I'd be much obliged if someone had one sitting around?

Awesome... It is great when companies such as this share a bit of their history with their punters. Louvre-ly stuff...!!!

I'm loving that Skoda!!!! Autoplas are still going!! I remember going out with a girl who worked for them, IIRC, they had a factory in Hockley ( Essex)and used to churn out zillions of tat products. Id suggest, all those louvre fans out there, that you get on board now and start snapping up the Autoplas portfolio of shonky wheel trims, stick them in yer loft and 20 years from now you will be retro fitting them to 2010 Vauxhall Astra pov spec models for the added touch of authenticity or summat.

I wonder if the louvre's that we all love could be reproduced with 3D printing...?! Just a thought...

I wonder if the louvre's that we all love could be reproduced with 3D printing...?! Just a thought... Surface finish is the problem and large flattish areas such as the louvres themselves are the worst for visual roughness. Most of the cheaper 3D printers produce a finish little better than a Tyrolean Machine.

^^^ Scrub that idea then...!!! I agree that the surface finish is a tad on the furry side (well it is in my eyes)...
Maybe when 3D printer technology improves though it could be worth a try at least...?!
Anyhow, for now it's all about hunting these beauties out...

I like the idea of making one from a bunch of splitters, it won't look like a genuine Autoplas or similar item but it will still look awesome.

Pics of your katzentreppe fitted please, Herr Emdee! I think katzentreppe is my new favourite word. As you wish. In fact I think I may be so keen I might post too many. I feel like a dog with two err... katzentreppen.

I just happen to have a spare, it's for a mk1/2 Fiesta - it's not raised for the wiper like mine and has one less slat but it's still lovely. PM me if you like.
