Well with the Petrol price falling gradually and it being £1.09 per litre at the moment. I was surprised to hear on the news that the supermarkets are to reduce it by a further 2pence per litre!
So if you take it at £1.079 per litre by the end of the week is possible, then I can add a further discount of 8 pence off per litre (club card discount at tescos) I can therefore get to under a £! per litre
When was the last time anybody could say that legally?
And will get low enough that vouchers and money off coupons aren't going to be needed?
Fuel price survey of members? What's it showing where you are?

I can remember reading a copy of hot car, a test of a modified imp possibly Hartwell "With the fast approaching 75p a gallon". Note gallon not litre Petol got up to a pound but any more was causing unrest. Then the big change to pricing in litres and within days, prices went north. Ttfn Glenn

Its 1.09 by me at the mo, but an oil industry bod on news did say it will go back up again sometime in the new year. I dearly hope he is wrong. But prices have fell that much its whacking out the stock markets, so something will happen

Don't forget we've still got at least two(poss three) postponed Government Budget rises to go back on at some point. So even if it does make a £1 per litre it wont be there for long.

The other side of the coin is that price reductions mean tax take reductions.
That central government lost income is going to have to come from somewhere.
Enjoy it while you can.

LPG is just over 60p!!!
Still dropping, granted not as fast as petrol but when you can fill the tank for sub £30 you can't complain to much.

Ours has come down to just over AU$1.00 a litre (best I've seen is $1.08). It hasn't been this low in maybe 10 years!

ERR! I better get the car finished she will be running on petrol till the summer when I can get the lpg kit fully fitted(I am not doing it in the cold!) If the what they are saying about fracking not being worth it as you lose 80% off production after the first 5 years then 50 to 80% year on on year lose of production after that. So fuel prices will go up but the question will putin wait/survive that long, or will we?

Does the Tesco clubcard discount apply to all clubcards or do you have to earn 'so many' points first?

Does the Tesco clubcard discount apply to all clubcards or do you have to earn 'so many' points first? Every £50 you spend earns you 2p off a litre up to an accumulative of 20p a litre. You need to have a clubcard. The scheme is due to finish in February.

Sorry to sound grumpy - BUT we already have a frankly curse word thread about this here: retrorides.proboards.com/thread/173798/petrol-1-again?page=1How about posting some cool old cars instead? Hell, even if it's a modern unlowered Daewoo it'll still be better than talking about the bloody weather - I mean fuel prices. Happy New Year

Shame you can't stock up a 6 month supply. I guess that's more feasible with diesel.
