Name: Stuart Location: Gloucestershire Retro/Interesting Cars Owned: Haven't got anything particularly interesting at the moment but I've previously had a 3x Mk1 Golfs (2x GL and a Clipper), 2x Mk2 Golfs, a Mk5 Escort, Mk2 Polo Coupe, Mk3 Golf GL, Saab 900 and the rest is pretty modern.
Shows Regularly Attended: Local shows for me are Forest of Dean Carnival of Transport, Forest Vintage Vehicle & Machinery Speech House Show, Bristol Volksfest, Busfest, Vanwest, BVF that was, Volksfest Wales, Dubs at the Castle.
I haven't had any interesting cars or been to any shows for the past couple of years as I have been renovating my house to accommodate a family member who is disabled and has come to live with us. The house project is coming to completion now so I'm looking to get something to take my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old Basset Hound out to some shows in. Give them the hot day trip with a constant smell of oil and paint treatment that my father gave me! Preferably looking for a Mk1 Polo as I'm pretty familiar with the set-up and still have some bits in the garage but I've never had one, I've put an ad in the Wanted section.
Thanks

Hello everyone, my name is Sekio, I am from Austria and I love old, retro cars. My favorites are Soviet, they seem to be very beautiful, and they look like an interesting rethinking of European analogs!

Name : Hi, My name is Daan, and I have been lurking occasionally into this forum for about 5 years, so it is about time I formally introduce myself Location : Oxfordshire Retro/Interesting Cars Owned : First is my trusty 1973 Landrover, which I owned for 28 years: Eagle eyed retrorides members may have seen the picture before, as it was linked by someone in a thread about banded steel wheels for land rovers. This is also how I found this forum. The landy sports Defender/discovery 300 tdi running gear, has a high speed PTO front winch and electric rear winch, It has detroit lockers in the axles together with ashcroft shafts, it has a T45 roll cage, 35" simex tyres and many more offroad bits. It is being used in International trophy events, and I competed in it in the Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia, Ladoga trophy in Russia and the Croatia Trophy. It is currently a bit worse for wear as a result and sits waiting in the Garage for me to get motivated to get it sorted. Next to it sits my Mahindra Jeep, which is my current project, and which I am planning to start a thread about shortly: It needs a bit of love, the plan is to turn this into a Willys MB, with the addition of a reproduction willys MB tub. It is currently a bare chassis. Lastly, my daily: A Polo MK5 Bluemotion (I suppose a MK5 is retro, as current is the MK7). This the very sensible car to make up for the other not so sensible cars. My commute is very boring, so I am trying to make it more interesting by making the MPG gauge show 70+, and succeed most days. Shows regularly attended: None, but I go to the Newbury sortout regularly for bits. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook pages : Not really What are you hoping to do here: I am hoping to see more awesome conversions and projects without Rivet counters spoiling it, and showing of my own project Anything else we should know? I have the Dutch Nationality

Hi all, joined a while ago but haven't posted anything yet. I'm an old codger and have been into old cars since they were new (when I was a lot younger) mostly Italian from the 70 and 80s I drove Fiats when they were cheap, highlights were a 124 coupe and a 131 sport
Recently got sorted with a garage so am now back into working on old cars and I am currently restoring the twin spark Alfa 75 below.
Been a slog but I've all the welding done, also stripped and repainted the underside and engine bay. I just need to finish the bodywork and then paint and rebuild.
Hope to have it on the road in a couple of months.

Another newbie here, been floating on and off for a while but decided to sign up. Name: Egil (Martin on most forums) Location: North Yorkshire Cars: I own 2 Toyota MK1 MR2's both off the road with one of them currently undergoing alot of welding. Also have a MK2 MR2 that i rebuilt a few years ago and put a V6 in last year it is currently my daily driver. Yes i may have an addicition. In the family we also have my dads 1994 Range Rover classic softdash, my Grandmas MK3 MR2 and the latest addition my grandad's 2003 Jag XK8. I finally got intriuged enough to join mainly because there is some activity here, i feel like I'm a member of most other forums especailly car specific and they are all dying. I believe i already know a few of you from the mr2 forums ect.

Cars: A few, but the ones I'll probably be posting about on here will be my Peugeot 405 and Rover Sterling. Peugeot 405 has been a titivation project, really, the Rover was my first which was gifted back to me last year. Not sure how well I/my cars will fit in here, but after knocking forums on the head some time ago, I thought I'd give it another go with a different forum.
