I paid £10 per wheel with 205/55R16 tyres (which went in the bin) from www.Renbreakers.com they don't know about banding etc so haven't put scene tax on them YET. I'm liking the colour they are now, but they are only painted around the lip then over spray on the black centres

well took the car out for it's first meet/show on it's banded steels, went to a Honda meet at 6TWO1 Speedstore in Colchester, who had HONDAPRO Jason Richmond over from the US, not much to add really a couple spotted pictures and the Jason loved my car, because they didn't get them in US
hope you like

That looks awesome! Refreshing to see something other than the run of the mill civics at these sort of meets too. Don't change a thing

thank you, I think the only thing on the outside is, it'll go lower at the front, just to close up the front tyre to arch gap

Love this, a lot. Really appeals to me. When I was younger my parents bought a Concerto as a stopgap car for £100 and called it Carlos Fandango, it was awesome.
Another car I will add to my 'need to own' list. Yours looks fantastic.

Car looks great mate, absolutely love it.
However, I can't help but think it could look great with some wheel but cover things. Kind of like smoothies but they just cover the recess for the bolts( if you get what I mean)

might try some 16 inch Honda hub caps see if that works, but I may also try a vw one. the ones that only cover the bolts, then make them say Honda
we will see

Very cool mate - is that just a add on tip for your exhaust? I want the same exact thing!

Oh nice one! So a length of 2" plus the bend and just put the box back on at MOT time?!
Is it super loud though?

I worked at a Honda dealer during this era and I admit that the Concerto was not my favourite in the day, but as they say, time changes everything. Yours is a particularly nice example, thank goodness for the architypal blue rinse Honda owners, preserving them so well (and at considerable expense) for the enlightened few. I particularly like what you have done with the wheels, but I do have a small concern. Are those the original wheel nuts? Honda used wheels with a spherical seat rather than the straight taper used by most manufactures. Spherical nuts will fit and centre the wheel, but will give a much smaller contact area and engage less deeply than the a tapered nut would. I bought an Aerodeck once with two none gen steels on it and the wheel nut seats were pretty chewed up. That said, he had managed to cross thread a couple of the nuts too before tightening them with a scaffold pole, so I don't suppose that helped much. Keep up the good work, Dave
