This is a great car with a good combination of retro-loveliness and usability. I've just taken on a large house renovation project and as generous as the boot is on this I need the practicality of a massive estate. So, unless you've got a low mileage full history Volvo V70 T5 estate I won't be able to do swaps or part ex.
The car is fully loaded and I'll try to list out everything below:
Bronzitbeige metallic paint
Full chocolate brown leather in very good condition, slight wear to edge of drivers seat
Electric drivers and passenger seats
Front seats with armrests
Rear headrests
Rear window blind
Electric tilt/slide sunroof
Electric mirrors
Electric windows all round
Fantastic stereo system - ALPINE 6CD changer in boot and modern headunit
Dual zone climate control
On board computer system
Switchable auto box with economy, sports and manual settings
Cruise control
Front and rear fog lights
Later 16" E39 turbine alloys with very good tread branded tyres
VISION full closure alarm system with two plippers - closes all open windows/sunroof when activated, an expensive addition.
History - owners pack present including stamps up to 31k, various receipts after that including service items. Fluids and filters changed by PO in early 2013. Four previous owners, very low for 25 years old! I have all MOTS's from 1997 to date, confirming the mileage. Alarm manual also present.
The car drives very well with plenty of power but is refined as you'd expect. For the MOT (council depot for an honest assessment) I only had to change the brake light switch to pass. Three advisories: a nick in one tyre valve, windscreen chip outside of prescribed area and slight deterioration to one front brake hose - that's it!
The only minor niggles are as follows:
Air con probably needs a re-gas
Dash info display can be a bit temperamental - some soldering needed to the capacitors I believe
Cruise control may need attention (from PO) - I've never used it though
Boot struts are weak (£20 from eBay)
Some scratches in lacquer in places but comes up well with a wax
A couple of very small pieces of surface rust - at the very bottom of one door and little spots on the rear arch lip
Crack in top of front bumper - not noticeable
Give me a call on o78o3 259793 to arrange a viewing etc.
