Oooof. Lorrytastic! No idea what most of the trucks are, which is annoying me rather as I consider myself a mild anorak on such matters. Looking forward to Mr Damaged's identification session!
I've decided my/ my other half's relatives are all rubbish...

You appear to have very sound relatives with big sheds, whats not to like. Now onto important stuff - is there a wall of death? with a lion? in a sidecar? I knew where the was a dodgem set up complete and abandoned for about a decade still loaded onto 2 trailers, sadly I think it was detroyed when the place it was in was cleared.. edit just realised all those trucks will be MOT+Tax exempted as showmans vehicles - just wash and go

edit just realised all those trucks will be MOT+Tax exempted as showmans vehicles - just wash and go Pretty sure most are pre 1960 too- so exempt anyway, and drive (unladen) on a car license too- even a "baby" one (I can drive a pre 1960 tank transporter outfit so long as it's missing the tank- but not an empty modern 7 1/2 ton beavertail )

Pretty sure you're all correct, diesel, keys, woop woop. Is it me, or is the big Commer a 2 stroke? I'm sure he told me it was.
You'd never seperate any of those trucks from him, I promise to persistently try on everyones behalf.
We did point out that when he kicks the proverbial bucket, some poor sod will have to go through it all to try to make sense of it.....
I need the COE first. He was rather taken aback that I even knew what it was!

I was going to say the Commer is probably a 2- stroke. And that if so, they sound gorgeous!
As one of the younger generation I think it's great that people stash things away like this- it'll give me something to play with in 30 years' time!

Apologies for bringing back an old thread but just found it. Dad and I own two Paramounts, one is thesame model as the first pic. Any chance these are still around?

I used to fix em, we had loads at the NCB. Hideous things, sound awesome, I’ll give you that, but total sh1t. If you want a proper 2 stroke oiler it’s got to be a Detroit every time

My wife’s grandfather told me about one he used to drive when they were new, he reckoned the exhaust used to shoot flames when you thrashed it on the motorway

We also had some Leyland ‘fixed head 500’s’ & yes you’ve guessed it, the head & block were one piece!!!! Hateful hateful things. You never had a head gasket go though, strange that eh. I can still remember the valve grinding tool, it was the usual sucker on a dowel except about 5ft long 😀

Hello, just to add, these were blown over their older liveries for Ronnie Lane of The Small Faces.
They were last used in 1976 for his "Passing Show" (it's on YouTube) before being tucked away.
Prior to that, they were the fleet for Wally Luckens Circus.
They are all still in the same place and are unlikely to be going anywhere.
