This thread is dedicated to all those dead retro cars recently deceassed not junkyard or barn wrecks. posted by a guy on one of the alfa forums. To quote him "Roundabout, little too quickly, oversteer, more oversteer, correction, too much correction, back end gripped, and put it in to some railings." upload.alfa145.com/files/8/Alfa%20Spider/curse word.jpg[/img] Thankfully the spider recovered from this one....but almost RIP

what a shame that capri looked like it was a minter. he should stick a mk3 cortina front end on it now. or a morris minor, that always looks good

Prototype style parts bin raid and strange mods and bizzre stickers and old reg plate and people will be scratching heads. genius! ------------- How long ago deceased? and do crashes need to be involved?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

It was touch and go for the g/f's GTi for a while after it came into contact with this... But a few suspension parts and body panels and it's back on the road! My Mk3 Escort wasn't so lucky. An engine fire prematurely ended its life. If I was closer to home I could have saved it, but the recovery costs from the middle of nowhere meant I had to let it go

This is what I did to my Scirocco Scala: Muddy corner, too much speed, too little talent. Head on into a bloody big tree. Sadly beyond saving, although suprisingly it did still drive.

My 2CV after an accident involving a Mondeo that hit be from behind, stuffing me into a recovery truck (a truck that has just cut me up!). Nine months after restoration was completed as well. Happy end though as she's been sorted out and is back in fine fettle! Perhaps we need a ressurection thread...

Car: 1970 Lotus Europa S2 Description: This is a fully restored down to the last screw Lotus Europa S2. The owner had it for one day before a lady ran a red light in a Mercedes and hit him. Guess you'd be rather upset!

the capri was an accident after he mis-judged how the new suspension setup would affect the handling in the wet/ice or something similar. He posted some pics on another forum I'm on.

Good grief! Did well to get away with that one. Who says Minis aren't safe in a crash?
The steering wheel reminds me of one in my neighbours garage. It is similarly bent - from his mk1 Cooper which died a spectactular retro-death many moons ago.

My sister's 30k-in-10-years Mini. Bloke in a BMW overtaking on a twisty B-road, but his 318 obviously didn't have as much power as he thought it did. He only just clipped the Mini (my sister had swerved into the verge to avoid him) and went on to write off another car, a Transit flatbed parked by the side of the road and knock down a telegraph pole...

The only photos I have but sadly this sat just a little too long on the drive, was already fairly bad but was taxed and tested when I first got it about 5 years ago but was too gone after 2 years sitting doing nothing more than the occasional drive Sold it to a a guy who some might know on the cortina forums called duffy (the guy who restored or should I say remanufactured another mk 5 cortina to better than new condition). Was stripped for any useful parts and was scrapped afterwards I believe. RIP
