Quality skills. If they weren't front wheel drive, I would have had one a long time ago and planned (but probably never done) what you've shopped. I've been really close to buying three different variants and never gone through with it... Damn my blasted obsession with rear wheel drive. ;D

Damn i presumed they were RWD, maybe its cos they are chunky old swedes.

They handle like it, you can get the back out with liftoff oversteer. Just don't try the handbrake at speed on early ones. It is on the front wheels to act as diff lock on early ones. Later ones switched to a 9000 style rear Hbrake.

He did go off road - two wheels in a ditch but he thankfully managed to pull it all together. Hope he shat himself more than I did!! Anyway, back on topic. I wish I could claim the credit for this but it was done by my mate Rolf on the Austin Rover forum. This is his idea of retro!  |
